Primepaw Dog Training: San Francisco's BEST!

Thank you all at Prime Paw for sharing the knowledge of puppy training with my pup, Shadow. She's just graduated out of their academy program. They have helped a lot with the growth of my pup's behavior and understanding them better as a fur parent. I apply using their techniques on a daily basis and can assert it's a prime example how a puppy can be comfortable in their surroundings in any situation. Seeing the improvements with Shadow has made with Prime Paw we're ready to level up with them and join in their group classes. Thank you, Prime Paw!

So far have spoken with Kyla on the phone about the Barky Pully Lungy class that she recommended for our leash reactive puppy and also with Dominic for our free 15 minute Zoom behavioral consultation. Both super nice. The behavioral consultation was especially helpful, as Dominic gave us tips for managing our pup’s leash reactivity until we start the Barky Pully Lungy class! After some serious research, so far it seems like this class is exactly what our pup needs. Will update my post once the class is done!

Five months ago, I rescued a 10-month-old Great Dane who had a traumatic and limited start to her life. We picked her up and brought her home to our 3rd story walk-up, only to discover she didn't know how to go up or down stairs. And at 100 unwieldy pounds, I wasn't about to try to carry her upstairs, so we moved the car and camped in the garage with her, as I did my best to teach her how to go up and down stairs—with limited success. James, one of Prime Paw's truly excellent trainers, came after the doggo and I spent 7 days hanging out in the garage 24 hours a day, for a desperately needed emergency intervention. His can-do, "just let me show you how" approach was exactly what we needed, and even more amazing, one hour later he had me and the doggo upstairs and confident we could go downstairs and back up to the apartment when the necessary evening bathroom break was scheduled. It was an amazing and inspiring start, and really, if James hadn't arrived, we probably would have had to return her. Ever since that first day with James, we have had Prime Paw trainers in our house every week, working with us and our rescue, helping us learn how to teach a very large and completely untrained adolescent Great Dane how to be a good companion, housemate, and friend. Prime Paw has truly changed our lives by enabling us to save a wonderful dog and has taught us a lot about dog training and ourselves along the way. Rescuing a dog is not always easy, but it is incredibly rewarding. And I can say that because we had Prime Paw's help.
