After the heartbreaking loss of our mastiff, we adopted a young, large, loveable rottie. We learned quite quickly he had no training, obedience, or socialization with other dogs. It was embarrassing to have little to no control on walks with his high prey drive. Dave Lock is the best thing that could've happened to us! After the first lesson, we already felt more comfortable & more in control. He offers multiple training tools & methods to meet your comfort level & your dog's specific needs. We are forever grateful for his expertise & would highly recommend him to anyone looking for dog training needs.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about ProActive Dog Training, LLC. We had our dog in the "board and train" program that is offered and all I can say is "WOW". Dave did a great job with Bentley. Dave worked with Bentley on all of the things we wanted addressed and after those two weeks we could see huge improvements in every area Dave worked on. Dave not only works with the dog, he also, when your two week period is over, spends time going over everything, so you are ready to continue that training at home! Bentley doesn't like people, so I was very worried about leaving him for two weeks. Most often Bentley has to have a muzzle on or is not around when we have people over. I was really worried that he wouldn't do well around Dave and his family. Within the first couple hours, Dave was sending me pictures of he and Bentley out in public without a muzzle on. Dave is definitely is a terrific dog trainer and I would highly recommend ProActive Dog Training, LLC!!! Thanks Dave for everything you did for Bentley!!

A result driven trainer with great credentials. Definitely recommend. We found Dave and Proactive Training to stand out among other trainers we researched because of his real world experiences and success stories. He's trained dogs at a high level and for us looking at a 2 week board & train. We liked his approach to the board and train option which allowed our dog to be kenneled at his residence, encounter no other clients dogs, and to socialize with his dogs as well. At every stage of the process he was thorough and helpful. From the initial phone consultation to our dog's in-person review he was great. His wife was also extremely helpful since she plays an active role in the training sessions. He formulated a plan tailored to our needs and even worked with our dog on more advanced techniques beyond our package because of her progression. Dave was Wonderful with all three of our dogs. We did a board and train with our dog, Milo due to some aggressive behaviors. Dave determined that Milo was acting out of fear and not aggression when he met a stranger. Dave showed us how to introduce people to Milo as well as showing us how to be in control of Milo. He learned a lot in the week and we learned how to carry on what Dave started. In addition, we had a couple home training sessions with my other two dogs. There was a lot of chaos in our house when all three dogs were playing together. Dave showed us how to gain control. He listened to what we wanted for our lifestyle and told us how to achieve that with our pups! We are still working on training, but we can honestly say it is already a lot calmer and controlled.
