My passion for training dogs began long before I could pursue a career in it. I started training and showing Rottweilers for confirmation in Junior AKC Rings when I was 12. I continued to compete in this arena until I began to prepare for a career with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). When I joined the ranks of PSP in 1999, I did so knowing that I would be pursuing a position in their K-9 Unit. Our sweet rescue girl was 90% perfect when she came into our lives, but the other 10% caused big problems. We have struggled with reactivity around kids and some other dogs. Dave’s training (board & train) provided the foundation and structure our girl needed to be able cope with the stress of her surroundings. Dave also trained us to provide proactive guidance for her needs so that she can become a more confident member of the family. Her behavior has changed dramatically however we understand that it’s our responsibility to continue to train her with the tools and instructions he has provided to us. His continued guidance post-training has been so helpful. Dave has been a lifesaver! I highly recommend him!
I have a 130lb dog that Dave was able to show me how to properly walk through the neighborhood, even with major distractions. Thank you, Dave! You are the best!
Dave was amazing with our rescue GSD! He was able to help with some behavior issues and socialization. You could see the change immediately. Dave was able to explain things in a way that made us confident to continue the work at home.
