If you’re undecided about who to go to dog training, look no further. Javier, Briana and the team at Proactive Dog Training are exceptional. I had spent thousands of dollars on positive reinforcement with my female GSD Mack, which only took us backwards. We couldn’t even leave our driveway without our GSD reacting to a neighbor, another dog, etc. She was reactive towards people, dogs and other animals like cows & geese. She would bark at any unfamiliar noise she heard. She was so unsure and environmentally sensitive, and really needed leadership as much as we did owning her. We found Proactive Dog Training and expressed concern over the prong collar and e-collar. Javier took the time to help us understand the tools and also dealt patiently with our hesitation. Since sending our dog to the board and train, our GSD now has a life outside of the four walls of our house. Mack has over 80 dog friends and gets to live a fun life with us. She gets so excited to wear her e-collar now as she associates it with trips, new smells & experiences, and swimming!! Mack’s life has expanded with fun adventures that we never thought would be possible. Her & I have both grown so confident through the journey. I was so lost and stuck with trainers who didn’t know how to help Mack, so I’m thankful I found Javier & Briana and the team. To this day, almost 3 years later, they still help us with any question we have. Mack has been molded into the best dog with her funny character unchanged. It’s so much easier to love her & enjoy her now. Our family has healed so much! Big thanks to Cameron as well for being Mack’s manager during playgroups. We ❤️ you Cam!

Where do I start, I am thankful for Javier and his team for being so patience and understanding with our situation and I can’t thank him enough for helping us train our Dog. Walks are more easier and relaxing. Even though as a dog owner we have to continue to train our dog and be persisting on continuing the training at home, it has help us a lot in many ways. I can go to stores, he doesn’t run away just being outside, I can sit him in place when people are around. That has shown how much of a good trainer he had. I definitely recommend anyone that is having difficulty with their dog, to take them here.

We were struggling with our pup, June, whose boundless energy and strong prey drive made walks and training sessions feel impossible. As a working line lab, she was a handful, and we were at our wits’ end, trying every method to calm her down without success. Then we found Javier and his incredible team, and their 3-week boarding and training program transformed our lives. June is now a completely different dog—disciplined, attentive, and responsive to our commands. Walks are a joy, and her personality has blossomed in ways we never imagined possible. We are profoundly grateful to Javier and his team for giving us the tools to truly enjoy our time with June. Javier and his team at Proactive Dog Training are top notch! I have a rescue that is just over one year old and predominately an American Fox Hound. He had a daily habit of jumping over my six-foot fence to chase squirrels or "tree rats", as Javier says. After researching and speaking with Javier, we decided the UDP program was the best option for Tucker and the results were amazing! Everyone we interacted with was great, from scheduling to the proofing sessions. Also, many thanks to Briana and Amy who were a big help training Tucker. I couldn’t believe the results and the changes once he graduated. He still has the urge to chase squirrels, but he hasn't jumped my fence since. He listens to commands, walks much better now, and behaves in public places. He was also off leash at Bond Park on our last day of training and did well with all his commands. I have received many compliments, especially from the regulars we have seen at the dog park, saying that he's like a different dog now. Most importantly, they ensured that I was completely satisfied with the service before finishing Tucker’s program.

If you are reading me it’s because you need your loving doggy trained. Please stop searching for dog trainers and go with Proactive dog training. I interviewed with many dog trainers before onboarding my Poodle with Proactive. What made me decide? Well, I met this Pit Bull few years ago at the dog park and she was very aggressive, every time I got to the dog park if the Pit Bull was there, I will just walk away and leave. One day, I didn’t notice the Pit bull was at the dog park and I walked in with my dogs. When I spotted the Pit bull, she was so obedient to her owner and so lovely with all dogs. I asked the owner why was the dog so different and he told me about Javier and his team in Proactive dog training. I called Javier and interviewed with him and I still didn’t make a decision back then. A year later, my Poodle dog gets into a dog fight with my son’s Lab mix dog that sent me to the hospital with a broken finger and a broken leg when trying to stop them. That’s when I called Javier and onboarded both dogs, the Poodle and the Lab mix. Best decision I’ve ever made. I wish I had onboarded both dogs a year ago and not after the dog fight happened. Please be “Proactive” and spend the money and time to train your love dogs with Javier. I can now enjoy walks and meals at doggy friendly restaurants with my dogs. Javier and all his trainers are absolutely fantastic and wonderful.
