My dog barks at everything. Can training help?
Yes! Excessive barking is often rooted in anxiety, not attitude. Our programs focus on building calm, confident behavior at the root—not just stopping the symptom.
Boarding and Daycare drop-off is from 7–8 AM, and pick-up is from 4–6 PM. These times help us maintain a consistent routine for the dogs in our care.
Our training pickup is scheduled into one of our training session windows so we can take the time to go over everything you need to be successful at home.
Do you offer boarding or daycare without doing training first?
Yes, we offer boarding and daycare for well-mannered dogs. We do not take on dogs who are dangerous at this time. Safety and structure are our top priorities.
Can you provide medication if my dog stays with you?
Of course! We have been professionally taking care of dogs for 17yrs, and have experience in the following:
-Geriatric and hospice care
-Care of disabled dogs
-Oral and topical meds
-Injections
-Restraint holds
-Nutrition
Yes! All interactions are carefully supervised, and new dogs are introduced slowly to the group. Groups are arranged by size, age, temperament, and play style. We only allow socialization with dogs that are a good match in temperament and energy. We do not take on aggressive dogs at this time into our groups.
Yes! We work with the entire family, including the kids. We want everyone to be on the same page, and really work hard to get the young ones involved with responsibility/chores, as well as the fun activities with the dog. They are a part of your family too, after all!
Definitely. Whether your dog pulls, lunges, or gets over-excited on walks, we’ll work on calm leash walking using proven, real-life training strategies around distractions.
We work with reactivity regularly.
Absolutely. We specialize in helping families with young children and dogs create safe, respectful relationships. We even offer training geared toward family routines and transitions like bringing home a new baby.

Yes! During training, you will get real-time footage of our training lessons so you can see your dog's progress.
We regularly post on social media pictures and videos of the dogs we are working with.
We even send cute pictures and videos to the owners while their dogs are staying with us!
How far in advance do I need to book for boarding?
We have very limited space for our daycare and boarding services. We typically book out a few weeks in advance, especially during holidays or summer. Early booking ensures your spot and gives us time to prep for your dog’s stay.
Our Board & Train program includes personalized obedience training, daily structured exercise, socialization with other dogs, and real-world outings in Southern Utah. We focus on behavior transformation, not just commands. You’ll also receive go-home lessons and continued support.

I never understood why training is so important before I met Heather at Project K9. She has a real gift, and a passion for what she does. She helped us learn how to look at training as more than sit, stay and come. Heather worked with the 10 month old pitbull we fostered, and because of the training we ALL received, we adopted that dog! I've watched Heather work with big dogs, little dogs, fearful and aggressive dogs. She is so patient, and kind. Project K9 is an investment worth every penny!

Heather, with Project K9, has helped my dog a lot in the short time he's been training with her. My dog went through basic training through another facility, but his separation anxiety, disrespectful behavior, bossy attitude, and over excitement didn't exhibit in that first training. I came to Project K9 desperate for relief from the stress of him bullying my other dog, trying to rule the house, and not following instructions the first time. It’s been a few weeks now, and he’s turned into a whole new dog! Through a few small changes made on how I handle him--a different training collar, using my body to keep him on place instead of my voice, not letting him sleep in my bed at night--has changed him. His relationship with my other dog is better--they play now instead of fight or avoid each other, he is more relaxed in his kennel, he’s stopped barking at me to get me to do what he wants me to do, and he goes on place when I ask him to the first time. The atmosphere in our house has also gotten better since I am less stressed about his behavior. I know we still have work to do to keep him behaving, but I can’t thank Project K9 enough--they saved our little family.

Heather is a very nice girl and gave us some good tips for helping our dog. But after 3 sessions and not seeing much progress we decided it wasn't worth the cost. Heather called our dog 'stubborn.'
But the thing that we are most disappointed about was when we left on a vacation we boarded our dog with Heather. Heather lives in a residential area and uses a bark collar so the dogs don't disturb her neighbors. When we came back from our trip, we found sores all along our dog's neck from the bark collar.
If you are looking for a place to board your dog, consider a place that won't shock and torture them for barking.

We have had our dogs boarded with Project K9 a couple of times and it was been a great experience. We didn't have to worry about medicine being given on time or not getting exercise. She sent us pictures and updates. It was stress free and the dogs had a great time!

I have had tbe opportunity to work with Heather from project k9 at the pack walk socials. She is so patient with myself and my very hyper 160lb Great Dane, Kitty. We enjoy going to the socials, Kitty and I learn new tricks to help us be successful every time we go, Not to mention how good my Kitty sleeps after just an hour of "work". Thanks Heather and project k9!!!
