PumpkinPups Dog Training has been working on behavior and training with dogs and their family's professionally since 2005. Our goal is to coach our clients to help them understand why they dogs do the things they do, and the become as efficient and skilled at meeting their dogs where they are to improve behavior. We work with dog of all ages, breeds, and training needs using modern and humane techniques that are enjoyable for the dog and their guardians. What is your training style?
All of our techniques are based on positive reinforcement and understanding the dog's triggers and motivations for behavior. This helps us teach new more appropriate responses to situations that are problematic for the dog. Our training is structured to be enjoyable for both the dogs and humans, making practice and learning fun and easy to do!

How can I get help ASAP if I can't wait for a regularly scheduled session?
Join Ask The Trainer which we host every Saturday at 11am EST (except some holidays, please check our website for details). It is our FREE zoom Q&A. Here you can ask questions and receive live feedback which can be really helpful while you are waiting to see a trainer. You may also request an emergency consultation for an additional fee.

What are your prices like
Group classes that meet for 6 sessions cost $380. Single session group classes range from $65 - $125 depending on the class and the location. Our website has more information about specific classes.

We had a great experience doing the puppy essentials class with our puppy, Cohen. Julie and Shaunacy were super knowledgeable and provided helpful skills and training exercises for us and our puppy. The hybrid class schedule works well with busy work lives and we also appreciated the other perks like free ask the trainer calls and puppy socials. Will be returning for more classes in the fall.
I wanted to share what a wonderful experience I had working with Alison and Juliana in the Puppy Essentials course. They were both extremely knowledgeable and patient, teaching me valuable skills to keep my energetic, opinionated puppy engaged. I look forward to taking more classes with them in the future to build on what we've learned.

As someone who knows a little about dog training, it's very clear that they know A LOT- whenever I decribe an issue, they are able to both give me broader knowledge about dogs in general to help contextualize the behavior, and dig into the specifics of my dog. My highest complement is that they don't just prescribe plans. They have consistently given me tools to understand and think better about training my dog so I can figure out more on my own than I could before.
