I can't say enough good things about Zach and the incredible impact they've had on my 6-year-old female German Shepherd over the past five weeks. Before we started training, my girl was struggling with leash reactivity, inconsistent commands, and anxiety around new people and dogs. Now, thanks to Zachs calm, confident, and clearly structured approach, she's a transformed dog. What impressed me most was how well Zach understood the unique needs of large, intelligent breeds like German Shepherds and he also helped her through some medical issues she was having with skin allergies and as well as a few other things he noticed. Once it was time to pick up our girl, Zach gave us practical tools to use at home and detailed so much for us so we can take the lessons home for her. We already notice massive improvements in her focus, leash manners, and confidence. She's happier, I'm less stressed, and we now enjoy our walks again instead of dreading them. Zach is the real deal! I adopted my Pitt bull mix 1 year ago. She was highly energetic, very stubborn in learning commands and very reactive. I chose to reach out to Zach when Stormy became confrontational with another dog, trying to establish dominance. She was not driven by food or toys, so lots of praises were given during training. In each session, Zach was VERY thorough in explaining the “why” of Stormy’s behaviors as well as detailed in how to correct behaviors. He was patient with any questions that were asked. Each session got easier to a point of me being able to now walk Stormy in Lowe’s and take her on nature walks without her acting crazy. I HIGHLY recommend Purest Canines. I couldn’t have asked for a better or more personable trainer!
