I had my dog, Fen, who is a 3.5 year old pitbull mix attend Zach’s board and train program for 5 weeks. I couldn’t be more happier with the results! Going in, Fen had quite a few behavioral challenges. He would resource guarded me, had dog and people reactivity, had very little confidence, anxious, lacked security in his environment, etc. He knew some obedience and would sometimes pull on a leash when walking. Coming out of Zach’s board and train, he is a confident dog, and feels more secure in his environment. He can handle walking past or being around other dogs. He doesn’t resource guard me, or if he does it’s very minor and much easier to manage. As part of his training from Zach, Fen and I do obedience training as part of engagement. Fen loves doing it. On our walks, he never pulls anymore and walks in a heel the entire time. My parents used Zach for puppy obedience 1 on 1 training at his facility. He let Fen and I sit in on the training classes to let Fen get used to his facility and get used to Zach, before going away for boarding. I think this helped tremendously with his training and helped set him up for success. I am so grateful for the effort, knowledge, and time Zach put into working with Fen. The training has not only changed his behavior, but it has also given me the tools and knowledge to continue building on everything he has learned. I highly recommend using Purest Canines for anyone wanting quality dog training. It is well worth the investment and life long training techniques and knowledge. Continued great experience. I came to them a few years ago for some behavior modification for my Pocket American Bully. Then came back for some modified (he has a slight heart murmur) deterrent training. We worked with Kyana and her team for four sessions. They handled my (copious) questions very well, explained things clearly and helped me better understand how to communicate with my dog Russo. They also accommodated me and my dog as needed due to his very mild heart condition which was my biggest concern. I don’t trust people with my dogs very often so I’m happy to find knowledgeable and kind and caring people in this industry. I will be working with them again for more sessions later in the year and also being using them for boarding. If you’re looking for a great one on one trainer, they’re the right people. I drove a hour for our sessions and it was completely worth the time and effort. I loved how flexible the sessions were and how thoroughly they handled my dog’s needs. Each session was informative, they handled my dog kindly, and made sure to explain each topic in a way I understood (I am AuADHD) which means the world to me. I can’t wait to learn and grow more with this team. 🫶

Dropped my red healer puppy buddy off for a 5 week board and train and I’m glad I picked Zach because buddy was super reactive towards other dogs and animals and had zero obedience training what so ever after the five weeks it was like he was a completely different dog he really cares for these dogs and goes the extra mile for the dogs and the owners buddy has been nothing but a joy at home and out and about in town and farmers markets due to Zach’s one on one train with my dog 10/10 recommend!!!

We had an amazing experience with the board and train program for our German Shepherd puppy! Our Echo is a much better listener, more obedient, and we (including family and friends) have seen such a positive difference since completing the program. What really stood out was that the training wasn’t just for our puppy—it was for us as owners too. Zach taught us so much about how to communicate with our dog and become better dog parents. The follow-up training sessions have been incredibly helpful, especially with reinforcing his training at home and making it part of our daily routine. Zach’s knowledge, patience, and continued support have made all the difference. Echo loves Zach, which always brings comfort to every dog parent knowing their fur baby is in the right hands. He is always responsive and will answer every question we may have even after his board and train. Zach is our go to whenever we need to leave Echo with someone to take care of him while we’re away. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for lasting results and a stronger relationship with their dog!

Dog training doesn't need to be complicated or intimidating. Purist Canines led by Zach is all about the basics: be consistent, reward good behavior immediately, use clear and simple commands, control the environment, and stay patient and positive. That's the foundation for success he teaches. My Great Pyrenees mix and found all this and more with Zach. His methods, patience, and skill put him above all the others out there.
