I came across Purest Canines while I was looking for someone to help with our Golden, Murphy, who is extremely stubborn and strong and was terrible at walking. Walking was our main concern with him. Zach evaluated him and really got to know Murphy as we did through the 8 sessions of training and learned his habits and triggers. Zach taught us how to properly train Murphy and get him to walk in a heal and sit in a place which was extremely important as we are welcoming a bay girl in just a few short months. After each session in the beginning, Zach would send a comprehensive text with everything he taught us that day so that we could go back to it throughout the week and continuously practice and keep up with the new skills. This not only helped us with Murphy but we are now going back to those texts to recall how to begin training our 7 month old puppy. We just finished up our last training session and we don’t feel like we are left out to the wolves as Zach makes it perfectly clear he is available for us for any questions or follow ups that we may need. Finding a trainer was extremely difficult as you now have just scam companies that want to send you a selfie stick and train you over the phone. Nothing compares to having a hands on trainer to help you as you get overwhelmed and take control to show you proper technique. We highly recommend Zach and Purest Canines to all who are looking even just to improve on walking and duration healing. It was totally worth it and Murphy has transformed into a new dog on the leash.

Great experience with Purest Canines, especially working with Zach. I really appreciated the flexibility and how the training could be tailored exactly to what I wanted for my dog. From the very beginning, Zach was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about helping both me and Kojack (my 140 pound Akita) succeed. Before working with him, I was struggling with Kojak’s aggressive behaviors and wasn’t sure what to do next. Zach took the time to understand our specific challenges and created a training approach that actually worked for us. He explained everything clearly and made sure I felt confident continuing the training at home. The improvement I’ve seen with Kojak has been incredible. Not only is he more obedient, but also calmer and more responsive overall. We’re no longer seeing the aggressive behaviors towards other dogs or people. It’s made such a positive difference in our day-to-day life. What really stood out to me was Zach’s consistency, encouragement, and dedication. He celebrates the wins with you and helps you work through the tough moments without making you feel discouraged.
