FirstBarkJosh and Dana were amazing and taught US even more than our dog. They truly helped set us up for successful training with our dog. We were absolutely amazed with how quickly the tools and commands took effect and created a better behaved, obedient dog. They are so friendly and easy to speak to and we were instantly comfortable with them. Great people, great company. Highly recommend.

Do you use shock treatment? Do you use only positive techniques?
We are a balanced professional training company. This means we start with positive reinforcement (treats) and progress with the least amount of pressure to achieve the desired response. Because we train all dogs from brand new puppies all the way up to full grown dogs with aggression-there are instances where E-collars are not only appropriate but a needed tool for communication. Our end goal is always healthy communication and safely reconnecting pups with their families.

We had the pleasure of working with Josh and Dana. It was a super rewarding a valuable experience. Our dog is super sweet with people but animal aggressive and therefore we had trouble walking him. He would constantly pull and lunge. He is totally changed and it’s amazing. We honestly thought it was too late. He was a a rescue and is now 6 years old. Old dogs can absolutely learn new tricks!
CJ was a God send for us. Two of our dogs had started fighting so badly we feared we'd have to get rid of one or both. CJ worked with them - and helped us, and now they are back to getting along. We are so thankful!

I sent my 2 yo Rottweiler Rebel to K9-Concepts board and train for 7 weeks. I cannot say enough good things about CJ. He was our trainer, and he’s very professional and honest about everything. He kept me up dated and answered many questions that I had while Rebel was there and since he’s been home. He send me videos, and I was very impressed with all of them. Owning a Rottweiler, and being a responsible owner was very important to me. I have owned many, but this was the first time I had professional training done. Now that I have grandkids it’s super important that he be on his best behavior. I don’t think I could have received that with just any trainer. CJ’s back ground as an army veteran and a K9 handler defined by an exceptional commitment to service and expertise. he’s a father, and a great mentor for young kids. What most impressed me about CJ was his honesty & his ability to take my dog & bring him back a better dog. I think he taught Rebel exactly what he needed. I also learned that he also boards dogs and that was another thing, that may come in handy for us. Thank you CJ for everything and for being a great human being. It’s hard to find that these days. You did an awesome job with Rebel !
