Sorry for the long review but Lance is the real deal. I wanted to provide a lot of information in the hopes some of it aligns with your dog "issues" or concerns about hiring a trainer. About a month after rescuing out dog, Moose, the honeymoon wore off and he started displaying some frustrating behavior. Some things were minor (trying to get to the cat food, jumping on the couch) and some were major (unexpectedly lunging at other dogs while on leash). I was beginning to lose confidence in my ability to control him in public and the chaos in our house was causing a lot of friction between my husband and me. We seriously considered bringing him back to the rescue, thinking maybe we weren't the right fit for him. As a last ditch effort to absolve myself of guilt, I decided to throw money at the problem and look for a trainer. I started my search online and Lance was the first I chatted with. I was hesitant to hand over that kind of money and I was leery about how confident he was that he could resolve all our problems. Coincidentally, a friend highly recommended Lance later the same day so I bit the bullet and went for it. It was hands down the best money spent. From day 1 we saw improvements and our confidence began to grow. Lance has tips and methods for dealing with everything and really helps you build a solid relationship with your dog. He makes the lessons fun for the whole family by using funny stories and analogies to keep the kids engaged. He not only works with you on every single problem you have, he also responds to text at virtually all hours, and offers group training where you can safely practice in a "no judgment" zone with other dog owners working through their own issues. The training has been nothing short of amazing. I can now take Moose on walks without fear he'll scare another dog walker or I'll lose my arm trying to control him. I have no trouble getting him back on leash at the dog park. He sits in the back of our car and waits until he's told he can exit. Millions of little things that make being around him enjoyable and enriching. We now can't imagine our lives without Moose and are so glad Lance was able to help. Lance was worth every single penny and I highly recommend him to both those who need basic training and those with the most serious of dog issues. You won't have any regrets.
