Really Special Animals

We located RSA and Barbara via a quick search. Our pup has some concerning people on people aggression, based out of fear, lack of confidence, and anxiety. Barbara got us setting up good structure with her and fine tuning her meals and exercise to reduce her energy. Our last session She recommended a collegue who focuses more on dog on human aggression. We set up an evaluation and will be moving forward with the new trainer. This is why I would recommend Barbara to ANYONE, she 110% puts your pup first, even if it loses immediate business from you.

We rescued an 8 month old blue heeler mix and about a month after bringing him home, he was still so scared of most everything. It was to the point that he wouldn't even go outside to use the bathroom and had to use pee-pads in the house. We called Barbara-Jean and scheduled a time for her to come by the house for just a few days after reaching out. When she arrived we sat and talked about what our concerns were and she was so understanding and knowledgeable. She not only explained in detail why our dog may be acting this way, but also went over the different ways that dogs respond to situations that they are uncomfortable with and how we as their owner can take action in the most effective way possible. After we spoke for around an hour, Barbara-Jean said, "Okay, he's going outside. Right now." . I was personally, a little skeptical, but figured we might as well give it a shot. To my surprise she actually managed to get our boy outside. Through the process of encouraging him outside, she noted where his hurdles were then explain and demonstrated how to help him get over those hurdles. All after over a month of our dog being inside only, too scared to go out, then after less than two hours of Barbara-Jean walking through the door he was outside. She directed both myself and my girlfriend on how to get our boy outside and we both were able to take him from inside, to the backyard, then even on a quick walk up and down the block. We we're amazed and overwhelmed with the progress made in such a short amount of time. We cannot wait to get Barbara-Jean back over here to help us help our boy to gain confidence in himself and trust in us. We truly could not be happier with her and all the help she has given us after only one training session.

We are so unbelievably lucky to have found Barbara-Jean. We adopted a 100 lb pitbull mastiff mix back in May. He came to us with severe separation anxiety and the shelter warned us that he would need to be in a crate while home alone for his own safety. We made multiple unsuccessful attempts to get him into the crate and our dog would go ballistic in the crate in fear that he was being abandoned again.. it was heartbreaking. Barbara-Jean understood the urgency of situation and came to our home within 2 days of calling her. She spent over 2 hrs with us and our dog and gave us an action plan to get the dog crate trained within 10 days. She gave us the confidence and the skills to get the job done and it worked! In a matter of 10 days we were able to get our dog in the crate overnight. It felt like a miracle to us. She also helped us with other training skills in other sessions. It’s amazing how much your dog can improve in just 1 session with Barbara-Jean. We are so happy to have found Barbara-Jean and I have already recommended her to several people.
