Red Beard Dog Training

My daughter purchased a beautiful golden doodle puppy, Murph, this summer. I cared for Murph by default during her first several months, as my daughter worked during the day and lived in an apartment where Murph's barking would not have been appreciated by the neighbors. This puppy tried to chew everything she wasn't supposed to chew, including furniture and upholstery, rugs, door facings, and even the porch siding, as well as me. I did almost nothing for several months other than ride herd on this incredibly energetic, ill-behaved puppy all day long, except when she was in her crate. She was strong and stubborn and determined to do only what she wanted to do. As she grew, she literally half-dragged me around our yard when I took her out and would lunge for sticks, bugs, and moving leaves and leap into the gardenia and hydrangea bushes if not on a leash. About 4 p.m. every afternoon, she just went crazy, growling, biting, and zooming around. I was literally at my wits end with this dog and could not wait to get her out of my house! Then, my daughter found Red Beard Dog Training online. After emailing with Brad, she started puppy training sessions. That helped, but she realized Murph needed a more intensive intervention to get her where she needed to be as quickly as possible. So, as soon as Murph finished her puppy shots and was old enough, my daughter purchased the 2-week boarding and training package. After two weeks with Brad and his two dogs, Murph returned a totally different dog - calm and confident and pleasant to be around. She responds to multiple commands and correction like never before. Now, when Murph comes over to stay occasionally with me, I actually enjoy her. Even our 8-year old Yorkie can now tolerate being in the same room with her without viciously baring her teeth, growling, barking, and nipping at her, just to keep her at bay. We can hardly believe what Brad has accomplished with Murph in this short time. His professional skills have been a lifesaver for us and we both wholeheartedly agree this was money well spent. As far as I am concerned, he has worked a virtual miracle with this dog! We enjoyed the many Facebook photos, comments, and updates he posted during the two weeks of training, as we were able to watch her progress.
