Red Beard Dog Training

We recently just picked up our dog from a 3 week board and train with Red Beard. We were out of state and found out about Red Beard through Instagram and another trainer Bethany with WalkingDogTraining. Throughout the 3 weeks, we got to see our pup through their social media platform. Not only was this fun to watch, but it was also so fun to share our pups journey with our family and friends. Some of our friends even started following their Instagram page. Because we were from out of town, we were able to do a midway session with a trainer virtually. During this session, Jen walked us through different things they were working on with our pup and asked us if we had any questions. It was extremely helpful & Jen even offered to continue reading up on a particular topic that we wanted help with. This made the teacher side of me so grateful and affirmed in Red Beard being a place to send our pup. Upon picking up Moose, we got to talk with Jen and Haley. They answered questions & problem solved with us. We then got to see Moosie and do a thorough follow up session with him where Jen and Haley coached my husband and I through different scenarios and things they worked on with moose. This was such a helpful experience. Another moment that made me as an owner feel so confident in our decision was when Jen left the room and came back, our pup’s tail was wagging so excitedly and happy upon seeing Jen come back into the room. Investing in a board and train was well worth it and we are so thankful for social media in the sense that it allowed us to see what a wonderful program and company there is at Red Beard. To the team and Jen especially, thank you for all you did! We are so grateful.

I have a dog reactive dog which, if you are familiar with, is incredibly stressful. After much consideration, I enrolled Bella into a 3 week board and train program, and the only thing I regret is that I didn't do it sooner! While my dog is still reactive (it's her personality, and that will not change in 3 weeks), I was given the tools- and Bella the training- to be able to work through her reactivity! A dog who previously couldn't see or smell another dog without having a meltdown, is now able to coexist with other dogs. Yes, COEXIST!! With a slow introduction, Bella is able to be around other dogs, which is something I previously never thought possible. Red Beard are more than dog trainers. They are seriously amazing, and I can not recommend them enough! The time, patience, and kindness they have shown Bella and I in such a short time means the world to me. Thanks to them, I am able to better understand my dog and be able to provide her with less stressful encounters. They never seem to get annoyed with all of my questions either. 😅 Haley, Brad, Bailey, Tyler, and the rest of the Red Beard pack, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Sending our Golden Retriever for the 2 week board and train was the best decision for our dog and our family. We knew Tilly needed expert training and with a baby on the way, it was the perfect time. Haley and Brad are the nicest people and such hard workers. And they are always willing to answers my questions. My husband and I are so grateful that we sent Tilly for the board and train. At camp she learned: leash manners, threshold manners, off leash freedom, and place. Tilly is stubborn, so Haley and Brad had their work cut out for them. And while she's not perfect, she's much more manageable. Through Red Beard, we have been given the tools and confidence to raise a happy and well behaved dog (most of the time). And have become more confident as dog owners as well! Thank you for everything Haley and Brad! (Dexter, Gilly, and Sampson too)

More than obedience training! Having adopted a 1-year-old doodle just as COVID hit, we spent hours watching YouTube videos, reading books, and even consulting with an internationally known professional trainer via Skype. No matter what we tried, Minnie was anxious and constantly alert at home; she'd bark at squirrels; she'd bolt out the back door; and, unable to sleep in a crate, she'd spend all night pacing the house keeping everyone awake. On walks she'd apply constant pressure to the lead no matter what we tried. Instead of being a happy addition to our family, our COVID pup was increasing our stress and anxiety! Enter Brad and Haley. For two weeks, Minnie went to board and train while the family obsessively refreshed Instagram to see stories of our little girl doing things we weren't sure were possible! The results were nothing short of amazing. She is a changed dog; she's no longer nervous and there are no more accidents in the house; she sleeps through the night on a cot; she walks politely on a lead; and she can be trusted off-leash with a lightning-fast recall. She responds immediately to commands no matter the distractions and has even begun spending more time in her crate. The follow-up training has given our entire family the confidence and ability to help Minnie navigate challenges and feel at ease. At home, both the teenagers and their parents enjoy spending time with her more than ever. No longer a source of stress or frustration, Minnie is helping to ease our anxieties. It's not hyperbole to say that in addition to training an energetic puppy, Red Beard has also given us the COVID dog our family wanted and needed: one that helps us relax, lets us enjoy our time together, and brings us together as a family.
