I cannot begin to describe how pleased we are with Red Lantern Dog Training. We have tried 7 different trainers across 4 different states for our anxious reactive rescue pup with no success in helping her reactivity. We decided to do an 3 week board and train with Red Lantern as a last ditch effort to give her a better quality of life. Aaron, our trainer at Red Lantern listened to our concerns carefully at drop off and we immediately felt comforted. Over the next 3 weeks we received countless updates on her progress including daily photos and videos. Aaron went above and beyond what we ever could have asked of a trainer—going as far as (with our permission!) taking her home at night and on weekends to help her feel more comfortable and loosen up for training. By the time we picked her up, we could feel how much the entire Red Lantern staff loved on our pup, I just know she was taken care of so beautifully. Upon pickup, we had a completely different dog. She was happier, calmer, and far less reactive. We did a short class with Aaron where he worked with us to understand her behavior and use her new commands. I can now walk my pup around the neighborhood, take her through drive throughs, and peruse the farmer’s market without fear that she’ll react at other dogs or bite her handler. It is truly night and day. Red Lantern has given both my family and my sweet pup a greater quality of life than we could have ever imagined. If you’re looking for a trainer across the entire country, I cannot recommend Red Lantern enough—more specifically, Aaron. He is truly the sweetest, kindest trainer we’ve worked with. I felt guilty taking my pup away from her new best friend at the end of her training! We can feel his love for our pup and it goes such a long way in her training and our comfortability. The environment is structured and well-managed, and I feel confident knowing she is supervised by people who understand pack dynamics and dog body language. Most recently, Hazel stayed for boarding during her spay recovery, and that level of care meant everything to us. The staff kept us informed, managed her activity appropriately, and made sure she was safe and comfortable. It gave us real peace of mind during a stressful time.
