Rescue Dogs Training

We had a great experience during a one-hour private training session with our recently adopted shelter pup. Megan was very knowledgeable and did a great job helping us understand our dog’s behavior and how we can better support her in her new home. We came away with practical training techniques and a much better understanding of how to communicate with her. It was clear that Megan genuinely cares about rescue dogs and their families. We're taking the training slowly but off to a great start!

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY Megan brought her dog to my house when my dog isn’t very friendly. While working in the front my dog reacted to another dog passing by. She told me to give him to her so I did, then my dog redirected his aggression onto her unleashed dog, causing a dog fight. After getting them separated her dog went in on my dog again. My dog was left bleeding on his foot and is still recovering. Then she went and posted the video of her dog getting out of the car and my dog not attacking him and said she fixed his leash reactivity. This video was a huge misrepresentation considering not even 30 minutes after it was shot, a dog fight broke out due to leash reactivity and her negligence. I asked her to take it down and she refused. You trust people who say they are who they are, as if they’re the professional. But this lady is the furthest thing from.

I have deleted my original review for Megan of Rescue Dogs Training. I was rushed into writing it by Megan but should have waited until I worked with her for some time. Since working with Megan for three sessions, I have changed my mind about her considerably. At this time, I have no desire to continue working with her. It’s a shame because she is good with dogs, but her people and business skills leave much to be desired. I caution anyone thinking of working with her to be very aware. She talked me into deals that I regretted afterward. I also found her to be unprofessional with always cancelling and rescheduling sessions. Her primary means of communication is texting. I don’t have a problem with that except that Megan doesn’t respond consistently. Sometimes she will text back immediately, sometimes hours later and sometimes days later. Her text messages can be very contradictory as well. I never knew what to believe. She sold us two leashes at $30 each. I have found similar leashes online for less money.

I have 2 three yr old sheepadoodlea that developed severe sibling rivalry, we had to keep them totally separate and thought we'd have to get rid of one before someone got hurt. After Megan had them 3 weeks we are on day 2 and my 9 and 11 year old girls can walk them together easily. We are getting human training so the dogs training sticks! I can not recommended Megan enough. She is smart, unconventional and kind. She understands problem behavior and can solve it. Thank you again! We are still working but know it is going to keep our dog family together with us!
