Revival Dog Training - West University

Revival has been a godsend for addressing my five-year-old dog’s reactivity. If you have a reactive dog, you surely understand the instinctive, mechanical tightening of your grip around the leash when you see a distraction in the distance. You know your dog is frightened and lashing out, and you really just want to tell her that its going to be alright if she will just calm down! I cannot tell you the number of walks I have had to cut short because a neighbor’s dog (minding its own business) or a squirrel sent my pup into a tizzy. I’d spent years trying to go it on my own—watching the YouTube videos, reading the forums, playing all the different reactivity games—only to have mixed success. But over the past several weeks of sending my girl to Revival I can finally say that I have noticed meaningful, generalized improvement in her reactivity. Look, she isn’t perfect, and maybe she never will be. But being able to have her focus back on me when a dog suddenly turned a corner was a monumental win. And Ill take her staring down a squirrel rather than trying to chase after it any day of the week. She is just a calmer, more confident dog. I don't know that any of that would have happened without Revival. Beyond that, I have found the trainers to be excellent, knowledgeable, and willing to spend extra time to talk through training with me at pick up or via text/email. I have enjoyed the daily videos that chronicle my pup’s training and empower me with the tools I need to take the training home. I highly recommend Revival, even for stubborn adult dogs!

Update: We just had 15 people over for Thanksgiving and my Revival supported dog did a fantastic job! We even had some toddlers over the next day and he did well. His only experience with a toddler was negative and he has held on to that fear. However, this time he managed his anxiety well. Thank you so much Revival for helping my pup live his best life!! (Dec 2024) My pandemic puppy who missed socialization is being transformed at Revival!! He’s gained so much confidence in public and is learning to be the best dog he can be. I am so grateful to the great staff at Revival!!! It's two years later and we are still loving Revival! We now do training AND daycare there! Our trainer, David, is totally tuned in to my dog and knows just what he needs. Revival is worth every penny and more. My dog is a wonderful companion. He gets along with other dogs, walks well on a leash and is well-behaved inside the house. We will continue to go to Revival. David and all the trainers we have had there are wonderful. Highly recommend
