We missed our pup for the 4 weeks he was gone, and bringing home a 6 year old dog who had been a 'bad boy' and is now the best boy was amazing. During the time he was gone we received videos and pictures of the training.. We got to see what his bad behaviors looked like and what his training accomplished. Picking him up, they spent the day with us teaching us to use the collars and commands. I found the entire team knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They love what they do. It was clearly something they do for the joy of being with dogs and getting to know them. Getting bear back and introducing him to family and other pets and having my 86 year old dad walk him was the goal we set and thanks to this team of trainers, they made sure we were able to do that. I may have texted and called every other day at first with questions and worried how to use what we were taught, but they were so accepting and patient with us.

We had the absolute best experience with Ridgeside K-9! Our 15-week-old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Cooper, trained with them and the results have been incredible. From the very beginning, Nikki, Jay, Charles, and the entire staff were amazing—professional, knowledgeable, and so kind. They treated Cooper like one of their own and gave us so much confidence as new puppy parents. Not only did they teach Cooper important skills, but they also helped us understand how to keep building on that foundation at home. It’s clear they truly care about the dogs and their families. Cooper came home happy, well-mannered, and more confident, and we could not be more grateful. If you’re looking for training that’s effective, compassionate, and tailored to your dog, I can’t recommend Ridgeside K-9 enough. My husband and I have a Great Dane/Mastiff/Cane Corso mix named Oakley. She’s about a year and a half old. When we first took her in, we did the “standard” training classes: sit, stay, down, leave it, and so on. But as she grew, her nerves and anxiety started taking over. She became skittish and defensive, and unfortunately, that led to her lashing out at our smaller dog. Things got so serious that our little pup even needed stitches. We were devastated crying on the floor, feeling like we were failing as dog parents, and heartbroken at the thought of possibly rehoming her. We found ourselves constantly separating the dogs, exhausted and unsure what to do next. That’s when we were recommended to Ridgeside K9 and wow, what a life changing experience. From the very first meet and greet, we could see the difference. In just an hour, they helped us understand Oakley better. We learned that she wasn’t aggressive at all, she was simply nervous and defensive, and it was in her DNA. What she needed was clear structure, guidance, and consistency. And as much as Oakley needed training, we realized we as her parents had a lot to learn too. We signed her up for the 4 week Board and Train. It wasn’t easy not having her at home, but the photos and videos they sent gave us peace of mind and showed us the incredible progress she was making. When it came time to pick her up, Kendall and Taylor were absolutely amazing. They didn’t let us leave until we were confident and comfortable in continuing Oakley’s training at home. Their kindness, patience, and genuine love for both the dogs and the owners they work with is something we’ll never forget. Now that Oakley is back home, the difference is like night and day. We finally feel like we can enjoy our big girl again and more importantly, she can enjoy herself too. We were at our wits end, but Ridgeside K9 showed us that anything is possible. Thank you, Ridgeside K9, for helping Oakley and helping us become the dog parents she deserves. We can’t wait to bring her back for day care and boarding when we go away. We brought our dog to Ridgeside when we were at our wits end with our dog. It was either rehome him (which was breaking our hearts just thinking about it) or get professional help and hope that it works so that we can keep our boy, Tank. The work that Jay did with Tank in just one session was nothing short of amazing. The dog that walked into our first session was timid, stubborn, not wanting anything to do with Jay and what he was teaching him. The dog that walked out was enamored and was responding so well to what was being asked of him. A different dog walked away that day. We still have a ways to go with Tank, but with the help of Ridgeside and their team we are able to keep our boy and I couldn't be more grateful.
