Hi Meagan, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way about your experience. After reviewing your account, your dog completed training with us in October 2025, and our last communication was in December 2025. During that time, you shared that your dog was progressing well overall. The primary challenges discussed for your 7-month-old dog were impulse control when left unattended (both in and out of the crate), adjusting to your and your husband’s travel schedule, and one question about managing both dogs on a walk, one of which was not trained by us. Each time you reached out, your trainer responded promptly with guidance, and your feedback was consistently positive and appreciative. At no point in our communication was it mentioned that your dog was experiencing stress related to the e-collar. You did note some stress-related behaviors, such as destructiveness with toys, a dining room chair leg, and bedding, but these were specifically described as occurring when your dog was left unattended in your home. We also discussed that your dog was going through a significant transition period, returning home at only 7 months old to a different environment with changes to crate use, location, and overall household setup. These factors can naturally impact behavior during the adjustment period. During training and at the turnover, your dog performed exceptionally well—happy, engaged, and reliable—even with your other dog present, which you had expressed deep concern about regarding potential bad habits carrying over from him. You received daily photos and videos showing her living her best life while in training: routine exercises, off-leash hikes, and play with other dogs. All training and turnover sessions are documented extensively, and at no time during the program, turnover, or afterward were any concerns about the e-collar raised. We would be happy to provide links to the turnover post and all photos/videos of your dog’s training if you’d like. Regarding the off-leash incident, our trainer asked if you and your husband wanted to continue with any further off-leash experience, and you said yes, suggesting the driveway area since the back wooded area was not ideal. Unfortunately, your dog followed your older dog into the wood line along the driveway and ran into a buried section of barbed wire that was not visible. Your trainer administered immediate first-aid care and was able to stop the bleeding to her lip. We want to ensure that every client and dog has nothing but the best experience with our training.
