Brent and Carleigh are simply the best. My dog was extremely reactive to the point where I couldn’t even walk him on a leash. He was pulling and barking/growling at every dog he saw. They have my dog to a point where he is off leash and completely turned around as a dog. It was so overwhelming to not be able to take him anywhere because of situations that could happen and now he’s not a risk. I trust these two individuals more than I could ever express and could not recommend them enough. Thank you both for everything you have done for our family 🙏🏻

If you live in Tampa and need a dog trainer, Stop your search. I foster for a dog rescue and use Ridgeside, Not for a rescue, but for my own dog. We got daily updates on progress with videos and photos and had a totally comprehensive drop off session. I was a bit apprehensive beforehand and asked ALL the questions: what about insurance, what if he gets hurt? What about future training? It was all answered. I am super super happy! I have loaded photos. Have plenty of videos, but it will not allow an upload.

Sent my dog Apollo away for the 3 week board and train. He has done a complete turn around (for the good) and I’m happy with the all around improvement. I will say I’m a bit disappointed in the lack of attention to my dogs well being. Over the course of the week he had been home I noticed some scrapes and a lump that formed under his skin. During his stay he had bitten at the kennel and his lips were raw, which I discussed with the trainer; but the scrapes and lump went unnoticed. When I asked about one of the scrapes, the trainer said Apollo most likely did it while in the kennel. Which I could understand since it was just a single scrape, but having noticed others as the days went on it seemed less like the case. The lump ended up getting larger and I seeked the attention of a vet; who concluded that it was an infection caused by a scrape/cut that he had acquired while away at camp. He needed medication to clear it up. So in conclusion, while the training process helped my dog become a better version of himself; the lack of attention to my dogs physical condition will be the reason I won’t be investing in the boarding program again.

Amazing! We had Kristin as our trainer for a three week board and train. We had expectations, but they were hopeful. Our dog has dealt with fear reactivity since we got him at the age of three months old. After some recent incidents, we reached out to Ridgeside K9 Tampa. They were very responsive and informative during our initial call. The following day, Kristin sent an informative email detailing what to expect and some logistics information. During his stay, we got daily text messages with photos or videos or both, with a nice update message. After the three weeks, Kristin delivered our dog to our home and did some reinforcement training while also teaching us about maintaining what was learned and ways to build on the training. In the end, we are very pleased with the outcome and the experience in total. We will definitely be recommending Kristin to everyone we know who gets a new dog and will be using her in the future for our training needs. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Mec!
