It took some special patience and caring to get Marge to trust the staff. Marina went at her pace and made sure not to stress Marge out too much. She was always attentive to my questions and texts. The first day after our hand off, we saw a wonderful change in Marge. She followed our boundaries with mostly the use of a tone, and that is what we wanted to see. I have to admit I was skeptical of using an E collar but am glad we got this training. It has helped Marge regulate herself and make better choices when reacting to new things and people.

Tremendous facility and staff. We adopted a very untrained young female Doberman and needed someone dedicated to training her every single day to build a solid foundation. We did the 2 week board and train and it was money well spent. Sydney and the K9 team did a wonderful job, we were so impressed seeing our dobe walk so well on a leash! Michael did our “turnover training” the day we picked up our dog and taught us more than we expected to learn! K9 gave us all the tools we needed to continue her good girl training and she is doing so well. Highly, highly recommend. The entire staff is caring and dedicated, you can tell they love what they do.

Shannon was our trainer. She was wonderful! I went into this as a skeptic; I was concerned about the e-collar. Shannon, wisely had us use it on ourselves. That made me feel much better. Bottom line, when we took our puppy to be trained she was a wild child. While she is still a puppy, Shannon gave us the tools to train her. Our now 9 month old has manners and I am always proud to take her in public. Shannon was an excellent teacher, she was patient with us and always kind with our beloved dog.

Ridgeside K9 of Winchester is TOP NOTCH! From the initial point of contact, all the way to the final day of our dog Murphy’s training everything was nothing short of incredible. The sign up process was super easy and we were able to do everything from a computer. We felt comfortable bringing our dog there just by their attention to detail and the amount of follow-up that went into the initial point of contact. Once we arrived we were treated with friendly staff and a super clean building! They took such good care of our dog and our trainer Shannon was so nice to deal with and communicated with us efficiently. She even took it as far to mention our dog had a tiny blister on his mouth and she said that she would watch it if it got any worse! The owner of the place even came out to meet us and he was a super nice guy. Most places do not have this much. Attention to detail. Now onto the training, our dog Murphy (a high energy lab) had issues with jumping on guests and struggled walking on a leash. Since he has been back he is a changed dog! Much better mannered and we can now take him on daily walks. Ridgeside K9 and Shannon will establish a foundation for your dog to be a better dog! After Murphy’s 3week board and train, Shannon spent almost 4 hours working with us on how to enforce what she had already taught Murphy. Ridgeside K9 and Shannon do not end their relationships with clients— they stand behind their work and even offered a free refresher course to work through small scenarios and even offered to take phone calls or texts when questions arise!! Murphy is 2.5 years old and we will definitely be bringing him back for more training or boarding in the future. 5 STARS to Shannon— and the entire Ridgeside K9 staff.
