Right Way K9 Training

We had such a great experience working with Matt. He helped turn our puppy, Ranger, into the well-mannered and confident dog we hoped he would become. The training sessions we had gave us the tools and foundation to make sure he grew into a great family dog. One of the biggest priorities for me was having a dog who could confidently walk by our side and behave well alongside our kids, and he has absolutely delivered on that. Ranger is great on walks with our whole family and is such an enjoyable dog to have around. We also learned how to manage and avoid any typical puppy nuisance behaviors before they even became a problem. I would absolutely recommend Right Way K9 training to anyone needing a solid foundation with their new family member.

We had a rescue corso that was reactive in the house, car and on walks along with needing an extreme amount of medication for vet visits. Now she can successfully go for walks, car rides, and does not need medication or sedation at the vet. Matt was great! Educated us and answered all of our questions while working with Nova in a safe and healthy way. Nova also attends daycare with him where her training is maintained and in a safe environment to socialize with other dogs. Truly enjoyed working with Matt and would highly recommend him!

We just finished 10 one-on-one private training sessions with Matt, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. This is Bear. Before training with Matt, I had gotten to the point where I could no longer enjoy taking him for walks. He pulled constantly, frantically zigzagged in front of me, and barked and lunged at every dog we passed. At only 20 pounds, he reacted so forcefully to another dog that he actually pulled me to the ground. Walking him had become both embarrassing and unsafe. Today, Bear walks calmly right by my side. When we pass another dog, he simply checks in with me and keeps walking. We just got back from a walk around the neighborhood, and someone stopped to say, “What a well-behaved dog!” His leash reactivity was the main reason I reached out to Matt, but it’s far from the only improvement we’ve seen. Bear is calmer, more relaxed, has much better manners, and we can enjoy him so much more. What I appreciated most is that Matt didn’t just train Bear—he trained us. He gave us the knowledge, confidence, and tools to be successful between sessions and continue building on what we learned. Thank you Matt! I have already recommended Right Way K9 to others and will continue to do so.

I wanted to like Right Way K9 Training, but my experience was disappointing. The training itself may work for some people, but the overall attitude and communication did not feel friendly or supportive. I felt judged during the process instead of helped, and that made the experience uncomfortable. The final straw for me was being told how I should parent. I understand that dog training involves structure, consistency, and accountability, but there is a line between coaching and making personal judgments. In my opinion, that line was crossed. For that reason, I would not return or recommend them to someone looking for a more respectful and customer-friendly training experience.
