I met Alex 2 years ago when we started private lessons with her. I was very discouraged before I met her. When Olive was about a year and a half, she started to display fearful and aggressive behaviors. It started off with her acting this way only when she was with me. Little did I know, I was a huge reason why she was acting out. We had tried to bring Olive back to the training center that we had taken her to for Puppy Classes but, they actually turned us away. They didn’t know how to handle her. I tried to figure things out on my own and it only made the situation worse. My stress and anxiety created stress and anxiety for Olive and it became a very unhealthy relationship. I was very nervous when we first started lessons. Alex immediately changed all of that. She never once made me feel judged or bad about my situation. In fact, she let me know that I was not the only one. She was incredibly patient with both Olive and I. We both lacked confidence in each other and ourselves and Alex recognized that right away. She help us build our confidence, gave me the right tools to help Olive, and stayed open and available for any questions or help I needed. After buying a house and moving, Olive and I began to lose confidence in our unfamiliar surroundings and things started to regress backwards. I knew I had to call Alex for help. We were living in a new space, with new triggers, and I just needed some guidance to get us back to where we were. I contacted Alex right away and she was willing to jump back in and help us out. There are so many more things I want to continue to work on with Olive and I plan to do just that with Alex for as long as she’ll have us. I have never met someone so honest, kind, patient, and devoted to their work and their clients. She is truly the best and has helped me create a wonderful bond with Olive that brings me so much joy every single day. I will forever be grateful to have met Alex and plan to recommend her wherever I go.

Thanks to River’s Edge Canine we finally have the control back in our house again! I first called Alex when our Pitt Terrier,Winnie,started displaying signs of aggression on the leash towards other dogs. We were confused because she goes to daycare and has never had a problem at the dog park before. After our in-home consultation Alex informed us that she was leash reactive and talked us through how we would be correcting her before we begun. She made sure we were comfortable and made herself available to us outside our our one on one sessions if we had any questions. I am so happy to say we finally can walk her without any distraction being an issue and I am able to handle both of our dogs by myself now. Walks in our house are fun again and my days of being embarrassed by my dogs in public are over! Thank you Alex for being so wonderful!

Love River's Edge Canine! I met Alex a few years ago in a training course for one of my dogs. I lead an active outdoor lifestyle and it is important to me that I can bring my dogs along for the adventure. When I noticed my younger pup, Coraline, was exhibiting fear based behavior and a general inability to focus on tasks and commands, I immediately thought of Alex. Coraline recently completed the two week board and train program and her behavior has improved tremendously! With Alex's guidance I am continuing to train Coraline daily and she is clearly a calmer, more confident pup! We are having a blast and look forward to continuing our work with River's Edge Canine! Just wanted to give a huge thanks to Alex and River’s Edge Canine for helping Rudy and I out. I adopted Rudy, a 6.5 year old stud chocolate lab who would bolt as soon as he saw an opportunity. After just a handful of training sessions with Alex I’m proud to say I now have a pup that I have no fear of taking outside without a leash. She taught me exactly what I was doing wrong and how to correct it. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know with a dog. She is highly personable and awesome to learn from.

My dog and my boyfriend's dog are dog aggressive and have been for years. To move them in together we needed training. She did such great work on them that they now love each other when before they would go after each other and seriously bite. My dog also now behaves in my barn to my surprise because we did not train for that. So that was a HUGE bonus. Before he would misbehave and snap at the horses and just would not settle down, even with a shock collar. He would act OK, but then try and do sneak attacks on the horses. But after the training he is more relaxed and actually allowed a few horses to sniff him without trying to bite them. I am so thankful for her training and help. It took a huge load of stress off me and my boyfriend. (Training did not go so far as for my dog to like barn cats but did not expect that miracle lol) :)
