River's Edge Dog Academy LLC

We were so blessed to have been introduced to this wonderful couple. Our daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 in January, and while in the hospital our Doctor mentioned she would now qualify for a support animal. We were referred to Rivers Edge by Cook Childrens in Fort Worth and every step of this process has been amazing. Our daughter now has not only a companion and alert dog and a best friend, but also a responsibility for care for an animal. The benefits all the way around for an 11 year old young lady are endless. The joy in my daughters eyes as she hops out of the car for school every morning with her poodle Holly mean more than words can tell. Holly adores Monty - she worries about her even when they are apart and can sense her blood sugar lows from across a room. She wakes me in the night when Monty needs sugar, and she is beside Monty for every step of her journey. The companionship and love and confidence it has given our daughter are amazing - but knowing Holly is with her gives an extra peace of mind that’s hard to even describe - it’s a calm and a comfort knowing that she is safe no matter where she is because she has Holly with her - that is the best thing a parent could ever ask for. We are forever thankful and grateful to Rivers Edge Dog Academy.

River's Edge did a phenomenal job training our sweet wild Standard Poodle. She is high energy and was not behaved until she spent time going through their program. Now she is the best family dog and everyone is always impressed with how well she behaves. Our poodle is a family member and I felt completely comfortable boarding her at River's Edge because I knew they love and care for the dogs like they are their own. Thank you for helping us have the perfect family dog!

Rivers Edge is more than a training academy, they are making hero's! Terry and Nancy have become family to us. What they do for people like my 8 year old daughter is the work of angels. They trained a rescue lab mix named Lulu. Lulu is the reason my daughter now can attend school, the reason my daughter smiles more, the reason I can sleep a little better and even her nurses appreciate the help. Their professionalism and dedication to their clients is top notch.

Terry & Nancy are the kindest people with an incredible dog training program. Our family is very grateful for their training and guidance with our two poodles. In just a short time, both of our pups were trained for public access and have already started live alerting to low blood sugars at just 5 months of age. There are two people living with Type 1 Diabetes in our home so having two, well trained (and extremely loved) alert dogs gives us all that added piece of mind when it comes to managing this disease. We feel lucky to have found River's Edge.
