Rob's Dogs (Dog Training)

We brought in our three female German Shepherds Veda 6 yrs, Gabriella 1 1/2, Francesca 11 mo. Each one had their own Goals to achieve!! Veda was originally trained at a board and train 5 week program at 6 mo. And sadly led to not only a failed outcome, but with a new anxiety to many environmental stimulation that was not present prior to training. Veda spent one week at Robs Dogs with Nathan as her primary trainer and WOWWWW! She’s heeling and following Commands with ease and enthusiasm!! Happy Girl!! No residual coming home issues! Her anxiety in public has reduced by 75 percent and barking at cars and moving objects is down to a minimum and we just got started!! Gabriella’s story starts when we adopted her at 8 months from a local breeder the day we went to see Francesca, our new baby, we would be picking up soon enough. Gabriella’s super sweet disposition snatched our hearts immediately and before we knew it, we took her home that day! Over several months Gabriella developed a fearful personality and we saw signs of a sweet dog turning aggressive. While not improving, she started snapping at people approaching us and I knew training was absolutely necessary and immediate. We contacted Robs training and consulted ! Gabriella went to board and train for two weeks and I could not believe the change! The confidence she gained and the major reduction in fear based scenarios was gone! Gabriella found her courage!! Our sweet girl was back and confident by our side! She loves the work and focus of her training and has gained that trust through Nathan her primary trainer who taught her that the world she feared was not a scary place. Gabriella can go to the park and some stores to continue to train with us, remaining in control trusting that we are in control of her safety thus leaving her calm and confident…. Thank you so much Nathan!! Francesca our 11 month old speed of light rocket girl loves every bit of her training and is best working consistently throughout the day! She’s my easier one out of the three but demands more work as she is very young. Nathan taught her these Commands so well !! She wants to work and I’m very happy with the outcome for her. These next few years of training will only get better! The experience with Robs Dogs was amazing from the moment we met Ian with all three to consult leading into dropping the three off to begin. We received constant updates and videos on their progress with Andrea stayed on top of the very different goals unique to them. All three dogs had a positive board and train stay with zero negative outcome. Much thanks to everyone on the board and train staff for your love, patience and care. Thank you Nathan for your unique understanding of the German Shepherd breed and most of all for giving our Gabriella the confidence to get back into the world and enjoy our very active family. For all those pet parents out there! It all starts with the best training to instill a great base to springboard from, but the work doesn’t stop there! This is the beginning of training you will commit to daily with your pet over a long period of time! Remember most pet training fails when the pet parents fail them! I highly recommend Robs dogs to get them on that wonderful path!!

We first met with Ian who walked us through our options and our goals for Leroy. We spent a good hour with him and met some of the staff. Zakita was our trainer for Leroy for 6 weeks. Great personality, patient and all around awesome trainer. To say Leroy was transformed is an understatement. (You have to do the homework to get results). Zakita was a delight and we couldn’t be happier with our experience with Rob’s Dog’s. Thank you!!!!!

Overall disappointing experience with the private training sessions. Our trainer did not provide any tips or flexibility with training techniques at any of our sessions even after expressing our concerns with certain tasks. Not one person checked in with our progress with these sessions as they are $300 for 45 min sessions, which is again unreasonable without asking us as the clients of our thoughts. I understand that this review may be overlooked due to all of the other positive feedback.
