Rob's Dogs (Dog Training)

I found Rob’s Dogs on Yelp. When I discussed the idea with our vet, Dr. Kirby, he endorsed Rob’s Dogs enthusiastically. I reached out to Rob’s Dogs about my interest, and we scheduled right away for our meet-and-greet. Our initial meeting went so well, we enrolled our 6-month-old male Labradoodle puppy for the two-week “Elite” Board and Train program. The knowledgeable staff, the facility, and uplifting atmosphere where the trainers’ passions are palpable informed our decision to make the investment. During our puppy’s absence, we were happy and reassured with his progress from the scheduled narrated video clip updates. Even the scheduled updates showing evidence of our dog’s newly gained skills, further reflected program efficacy and organization. The concentrated dog training, followed by the people training - tools we learned on the last day of his program, helped reinforce what he had learned during the two weeks. It feels more enjoyable and liberating to be out with him due to our increased confidence in knowing how to lead him. We experienced less fear over what he might do. Learning how to manage him, rather than him managing us, allows us to enjoy him so much more. Most notably, we are able to take him out on bike rides now more safely than before his training. He follows commands while he runs alongside our bicycle. He maintains focus and does not get distracted by the countless stimulations that were problematic before his training, i.e. birds, rabbits, people, dogs, other bicyclists, you name it! My husband and I have each fallen on our bike as he pulled or lunged with a distraction. What a difference! Although I was eager to write a positive review while in our enthusiasm over the significant improvements, I wanted to hold off in order to see how sustainable the impact would be for us. Countless situations, so many examples time and time again, allow us to benefit from and reinforce our investment in his training. A big shoutout to Nathan, our puppy and human trainer. We are so very happy he was on our team! That said, it is obvious that Rob’s Dogs operates well due to staff and management collaboration, coordination, and caring people working together in their varied roles to bring together wholistic services that make the experience one we are glad we chose.

We recently adopted a 6 year old female from the Humane Society. She has many good qualities, leash skills is not one of them. She spent 10 days in the hybrid board/train at Rob's Dogs in North Scottsdale, We have met with Joel twice to continue her leash training. He has helped us understand and manage her behaviors. With Joel's guidance I am looking forward to her continued progress learning new skills.

Amazing!!!! I just picked up my 5 month old german shepherd and he is calm and easily controllable, and extremely well trained. He worked with Michael who took him to Lowes and Kierland for real-life experiences. My dog listens and is extremely responsive to me. On pick up I spent about 3 hours with Michael reviewing what he has learned and then having me perform the same teaching skills with my pup. I loved that when I was leaving Michael told me to reach out with any questions or issues. I highly recommend the board and train at Robs dogs it is well worth the money.
