Robin's Nest Dog Training

Robin was great! Worked with us and our pups step by step giving us so many tips and tools to have our 10 yr old pittie and 5 month old lab live in a happy home together. Even as a long time dog owner I learned so many things to do better to train our pups to make good decisions on their own and stay calm and non-reactive in busy environments. Highly recommend her and her services for any training your dog(s) need.

We can't recommend Robin highly enough. We reached out when our *large* rescue dog Sadie began showing aggressive behavior. We were feeling overwhelmed, and honestly a little scared. What we expected was dog training. What we received was so much more. Not only did Robin help Sadie (it was clear Sadie was having a great time at Camp Robin after the first week!), she helped us understand the dynamics we had unintentionally created that were allowing those behaviors to continue. She taught us how dogs communicate, how our own behavior influences theirs, and how to become the calm, confident leaders Sadie needs. Boundries are good! The transformation in Sadie has been incredible, but just as importantly, the transformation in us too. We now have a much deeper understanding of our dog, a stronger relationship with her, and the confidence to continue building on everything we've learned. It's clear that she truly cares—not just about training dogs, but about helping families create healthy, lasting relationships with them. We did a board-and-train with Robin for our 9-month-old puppy, and the transformation has honestly been incredible. Before training, our dog was the sweetest, most people-loving puppy—but that came with some major challenges. He had a big issue with excited peeing anytime he greeted someone (kids, strangers… anyone), which made it really hard to take him out in public. On top of that, he was a nightmare on the leash—pulling, wrapping around your legs—and was extremely fearful of loud noises like trucks, bikes, and construction. We tried working on these things ourselves, but nothing was improving. Robin immediately understood everything we were dealing with and got to work. She didn’t brush anything off or say he’d “grow out of it”—she treated each issue as something that could be corrected with the right structure and training. Fast forward three months, and he is a completely different dog. He can calmly greet people without peeing, walks beautifully on a leash, and is so much more confident in busy environments. We bring him to our kids’ games, on walks, and out in public, and he just lays next to us, relaxed and well-behaved. People come up to pet him, and he handles it perfectly. It’s something we truly didn’t think would be possible. What sets Robin apart is her honesty and approach. She’s direct, she listens, and she doesn’t just train your dog—she teaches you. She’ll point out what you’re doing wrong (in the best way) and show you how small changes in your own habits can make a huge difference. That alone solves so many problems. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done. If you’re on the fence about training or dealing with behaviors people say your dog will “grow out of,” don’t wait—Robin is absolutely worth it.
