Rocket Dog Academy (formerly Optimum Dog) offers training for all ages, breeds, and skill levels, from basic manners to advanced behavior modification. Our programs include Stay & Train, trick training, Nose Work, Rally, Agility, and a robust Puppy Cadet curriculum. We also train on real-world outings and adventures to build confidence and reliability in everyday life.
We proudly partner with local rescues, if you’re looking for a new companion, come meet the dogs in our care. Our facility also features a fully equipped indoor dog gym with memberships, fitness equipment, agility zones, and off-leash training areas.

Our foster to adopt pittie mix was incredibly reactive. So much so she could not go to adoption events with the rescue due to her behaviors. No dog parks, walks were horrible, high prey drive. The dog we have now vs the dog we started with are polar opposites. We are so happy with her progress. The work they put in with her and the way they guide the family in keeping the momentum at home is honestly life changing.

I was very hesitant to try going to a trainer because most believe in "treats fix everything" with every dog and would shame you for the use of tools but here they are very welcoming and truly understand the dogs needs while I didint come here for training specifically they offer a wide rage of dog activities! The only thing I regret is not coming here sooner!!

I have a French bulldog who was becoming more aggressive in our home, and acting out. We love him so much, but I was feeling lost on what to do. So we reached out to Rocket Dog. Thank god we did. He did a stay & train with them, many follow up lessons, and a hard reset. He has came along ways! He now has structure in our home, and I can control him which is huge. Jenn and everyone we worked with were so compassionate in our situation, and really cared about getting Brody the help he needs to stay with us. I leave there after every lesson feeling more confident that I got this! We are still learning, and will continue to put in the work for Brody. I’m so glad I made that call because they are there for me with any help I need.

This is the best training around, I have a 9 month old golden retriever who is smart enough to know exactly how to be a terror. She stole our daughter’s shoes, knocked her over, jumped on everyone, had no recall, was just a general disaster who I couldn’t take anywhere. Well, 3 sessions with Gus later she’s a totally different dog! She plays appropriately with kids, only approaches people or things if given the okay, walks beautifully on leash, and has gone from disaster to an absolute best friend to our whole family. She also has a “thing” for jumping on platforms now (independently jumps up then won’t get down without a command) which I personally find hilarious. Really wonderful staff, great place all around.
