I reached out to mike about my 1.5 year old German Shepard. Ranger was a very excited dog who had no personal boundaries and a lot of bad habits that were caused a lot by myself and guest I had over in my home. Mike took ranger for three weeks and brought me back a brand new dog. Mike brought structure into rangers life. When he brought ranger home he taught me how to continue the training at home. I am very thankful for mike. Ranger and mine bond has already growing so much since mike brought him home.

We found Mike after using other trainers and after doing a lot of research into who can handle more difficult dogs. We have a 4 year old German Shepherd who was never properly trained to heel, respond to voice command or socialize properly. We were the dogs owners with the scary dog. The one that lunges, acts aggressive and becomes triggered at the drop of a hat. Mike was our last chance. It's rare to find someone that understands the true cause of the animal's behavior. What is unique about Mike is he understands that training is more than bribing your animal or forcefully making an animal react in a certain way. He taught us that controlling an animal's emotional state is the first step into getting them to be able to even listen and respond to training. Not getting frustrated, not using force and getting the environment back into the control of the pet owner is the key. Mike teaches you step-by-step, literally each baby step, on a daily basis, you need to take to start achieve a properly trained dog. It's obvious Mike loves training animals, his in-depth knowledge is driven by a passion for learning what is truly effective. Not based just on opinion but by his research of the subject and success in working with difficult cases. Mike worked with our German Shepherd for four weeks and she came back a new dog. It was amazing. But as he will be the first to say the training has just begun. Mike taught us the training skills we now do on a daily basis to make sure her success continues. Needless to say we couldn't be happier. Don't give up hope, learn from this expert, it will change your relationship with your pet and make your world a happier place for both you and your dog.

Mike is amazing! I am so glad my family made the investment to have him train our Boxer with Board & Training for 3 weeks. Roots K9 Training exceeded our expectations at every turn, and are committed to excellence and the care of the dogs he trains. Mike made sure we were able to see some of his training with videos and messages. He also worked with my family and I one on one to train us on how to work with our dog. She has been home 4 days since and it’s been a world of difference. We are so happy with Mike’s service all around and trust him entirely; we plan on using him as well for boarding services when she is unable to attend family trips. Five Stars all the way!
