Does R&R do dog grooming?
Hi Linda, we do not offer grooming services. We offer dog boarding and different training programs for all breeds, behavior issues and needs. Thanks for asking!

What time usually in the evenings? Where in carlton county? How do we start.
Lynn, our weekday hours are 7am-7pm. On weekends our hours are 7-10am and 107pm. We have two locations, one in Carlton (1809 Sheils Rd, Carlton MN) and the second one in Sturgeon Lake (86969 Military Rd, Sturgeon Lake). We offer boarding and training in both locations. Our boy Batavious went for 6weeks, he went in with very little confidence, and defiant. I can't say thank you enough to Brittany ,ram and all at r&r for getting Batavious to where he's at... he's still his goofy self but filled with confidence... he listens to commands when needed. We can go on more walks and he is more free to be a dog and himself. We are happy and more importantly i know Batavious is more happy... i thank you guys so very much and appreciate all you've done... i highly recommend r&r dog training!!!!

I was impressed with my dog's behavior while she was at the training center. However, the second she was at home her behaviors continued. I was told to use the e-collar until I wouldn't need it anymore. That hasn't been a thing and it's been months since Mia has been out of the six week boarding program. I paid $2,400 to learn how to use an e-collar. I'm disappointed.

We did training at R&R with our dog Milo awhile back. The training program is great for the basics like lay down, sit, and stay but unfortunately our two biggest issues that we wanted worked on were not really addressed which were jumping up, and some territorial issues. Our dog jumped up on us every single time we visited him and we have done everything they recommended and he still keeps doing it. He was even jumping up on the trainer at the time. We were told he was just excited to see us and that they had been still working on the habit (however after 4 weeks it was still happening). Also the territorial issues we were told to just leave it be and give him space during those times which doesn’t solve the issue. Overall he came back with a great understanding of basics but I wouldn’t pay the money for it if I had to do it all over again. We did follow up virtual visits but they just recommended the same course of action which was already not working very well. And I’m not saying this to be mean but I was just a broke college student so this was a lot of money to spend— only to still struggle with the same issues.
