We adopted a german shepherd/kelpie mix, Ruby, at the end of January. We were dealing with some behavior issues, and Kara, from Kankakee County Humane Foundation recommended Terry. Terry is FANTASTIC. She didn't sugarcoat anything when I called and explained most of Ruby's concerning behavior, which was her trying to "herd" my now 5yr old son, who has some speech/developmental delays, and fear based aggression at any strangers that entered our home. I went to one private assessment before starting group training classes. She gave me the tools I needed to give my dog guidance, help her settle in, and most importantly start to boost her confidence when we are out on walks, at the store, ect. I learned that with her being so nervous, it benefits her to have a well fitted muzzle when being taken out to socialize at the store or meeting our friends and family at home. I genuinely believe, 110%, that Ruby would not be where she is now with her training and calming down her nervousness, without Terry's guidance. I will always, ALWAYS, recommend Terry to anyone needing dog training, and will be going back for private sessions for a refresher on everything. If your dog needs help, PLEASE consider Terry.
