Sadie's Rules K9 Training

The only thing I wish I had done differently with sending my dog, Ashe, to Sadie’s Rules, was having done it earlier. Ashe was always a good boy, but at 9-months he was developing some overly anxious and fearful behaviors that I didn’t want to become unmanageable reactivity as he got older. Car rides were a nightmare because he was terrified of the car to the point that he’d vomit—every single time. After his 6-week board and train, we now take daily off-leash/loose-leash walks, he comes when called, he is a rockstar in the crate, and maybe best of all, we can finally cruise around town and he not only doesn’t get sick but he actually enjoys the ride! Life in general is just a lot more enjoyable because both Ashe and I know what’s expected of each other and how we need to communicate. Jess and her entire family and team are an absolute blessing. They are full of patience and love for the dogs—from the moment I met Jess I knew we were in excellent hands. Jess and Nikki were always quick to answer my questions and I cannot stress enough how much I appreciated their transparency both in our communication and on their social media showing all sides of the training—the good, the bad, and the ugly. I know Ashe can’t wait to go back on the trail for boarding and I get the peace of mind that he’s in great hands.

I am so grateful for Sadie's Rules. My dog, Mowgli, was dealing with serious stranger danger and it made it hard to have people over to my house without him feeling the need to guard and protect. Jess and her team worked with Mowgli for 6 weeks and I am so happy with the results! He is much more confident and calm in his everyday demeanor. I was so impressed that I then sent my other dog, Milo, for a shorter training session to work on his house and leash manners. Overall, both my dogs' quality of life improved and I am looking forward to all our adventures!

Tucker graduated from Sadie's Rules Board & Train program about five months ago. He returned home fully trained and all we needed to do was follow the program. We were provided with training for the whole family upon his return, along with new routines, tools, and a schedule to follow. In addition, we have access to the team via email, and we can attend in-person pack walks, and utilize the boarding during our vacations. We've attended one pack walk so far and it was great to get our questions answered, plus we learned some techniques for improving our heel. Tucker entered the program with a lot of stranger danger, backyard fence fighting, and very reactive to dogs, people, and animals. Now he's in a calm state of mind and able to go anywhere with us. Our outings are no longer stressful, we have the tools to communicate, and he knows we'll advocate for him. This has been life changing for our family.

Jess and her team are absolutely incredible. My 10.5 month old GSP went to their board and train program for severe separation anxiety, general obedience, and leash issues. They evaluated her behaviors in the first 7-10 days and she ended staying for 7 weeks. She navigates the world with confidence, and I navigate leading her with confidence. The team is very communicative, cares highly for your pup, and answers any and all questions. Highly recommend working with them!

Sadie‘s Rules K9 Training has literally given us a second chance with our dog. We adopted Henry, a small 3 year old Chihuahua mix, from the local SPCA, not having any idea of his background. Once he got comfortable with us, it turned out that he was a very nervous little guy who really just wanted to protect us. We absolutely fell in love with him, but his regular aggression towards anyone outside of our family was becoming such a problem that we were worried we wouldn’t be able to keep him. Enter Jess and Sadie’s rules. I’d known Jess from work (we were ICU nurses together!) so I trusted her professionalism and work ethic implicitly. When I contacted her about our dog, she made time to meet with us immediately - she knew how scared and sad we were. Jess gave us some ways to implement changes immediately as we prepared for a board and train and she was confident she could work with him. The process to get Henry ready for Sadie’s Rules K9 training was extremely smooth and detail oriented. They covered every detail, every step of the way, and gave us so much comfort that our dog would be in great hands. Henry ultimately spent eight weeks in their behavior modification program and I just can’t emphasize enough what a wonderful change it’s been in our life. Henry is so much more confident and benefits from having rules and structure. It has taken stress away from him thinking he has to protect our house. I can take him out now socially, and he is able to remain calm and behaved and doesn't get stressed or agitated. We work every day on reinforcing the training and structure that Jess and her team taught him and that has been the biggest change for us - working that structure into our lives. But it has been 1000% worth it to remove the stressors and to allow us to enjoy life with our fun little Henry. Thank you Jess and the team at Sadie's Rules K9 Training!!!!
