As a new handler I found myself in over my head with a very active and strong willed 10 month old German Shepherd, even after months of training classes. Then I was introduced to Dean who through discipline and compassion changed the way Eli responds to me. Dean is excellent at training the handler, explaining not only how to handle the dog but also the "why" behind the action. It's only been a few months but I have a totally different dog who is better behaved. Friends who haven't seen Eli since I started working with Dean are amazed at the transformation. We have a long way to go but with Dean's instruction I'm confident Eli will become an obedient and happy dog and I will be proud to be his handler.

I’ve been training with Dean for almost 3 years now, and he has helped me exponentially grow my skills as a handler, and as a GSD owner. I started out as just a teenager, but feel I’ve also grown more as a person from being in this sport. After I got my first girl to IGP1, I had the confidence to get an amazing, high drive puppy and she’s been nothing short of fun and awesome with Dean guiding me. I have big hopes, dreams, and goals for us, and I can’t wait to see how far we can go with him by our side!

Nadja has been training for obedience and protection with Dean for 3 years. He is absolutely fantastic. I can't say enough. I'm constantly getting compliments on how well behaved Nadja is. She is trained to be friendly but don't mess with her Momma. She knows the difference between friends and a threat. His training style is firm & he has taught me to be firm and in control. He trains the owner as well as the dog. German Shepherds are very smart and if they think they're in control... game over and you don't want an out of control German Shepherd it can be disastrous. I highly recommend Dean. Nadja loves him, and I will forever grateful to Dean for teaching me how to train Nadja into a great companion and my best friend.
