Salty Dogs Obedience Training

Beth is a dog trainer like no other! Highly effective and extremely knowledgeable! She understands and knows how to work with any kind of behavior issue and gets more done in one hour than you could possibly imagine. When we were moving into a home that had two lovely beagles next door, who loved to bark, we were afraid that our year old Doodle would join in the barking. We were only separated by a short fence with see-through rails. Beth worked with our dog for maybe 10 minutes in our backyard, even before we moved into our home. Three years later and our pup has yet to bark back at the Beagles even one time! Our dog loved his training sessions and Beth is a true dog whisperer and a great person!

I don't usually write reviews, but Beth has taught me so much about raising my "big boy boxer" to be a well-mannered and fun-to-walk member of my family, that I wanted to share my experience. Toby's my fourth boxer, but this time I'm old and not so strong, and Toby is big and very strong. I knew right away when he was a young puppy that I would need to work with a good trainer. As I was somewhat new to the area, I had to do some research and I asked lots of questions. Again and again, people recommended Beth Shepherd. From the minute Toby and I met her, I knew why! Beth has been with us every step of the way, through all of Toby's puppy stages. Our sessions are fun (Toby's whole body wiggles with joy when he sees her), but more than that, Beth knows what will work with my specific dog. She answers my many questions with thought, patience and humor. I learn something new every session. Beth has taught me how to be a trainer for my own dog, and sometimes it feels like she's using magic with my sweet but strong-willed boxer. She's my best find in Wilmington and I highly recommend her!
