We couldn’t be happier with the training our 1-year old Goldendoodle received from Daniel and Tori! We came in with some challenging issues—leash pulling, reactivity, and excessive barking—and they addressed each one with incredible care and expertise. Over the course of training, our dog made huge progress and came home with the tools to be a well-behaved, happy pup. Daniel and Tori use ethical and effective training methods, and it really shows in the results. They went above and beyond to make sure our dog’s good behavior transferred to us as owners, and they were always attentive and helpful when we had follow-up questions after the training ended. On top of being amazing trainers, they are just lovely, trustworthy people. We highly recommend their services to anyone looking for dog trainers who truly care about both the dogs and their families.

10/10 Experience with Daniel and Tori – Game-Changing Results! After adopting our smart (but very stubborn) cattle dog mix, we quickly realized he was in desperate need of training and discipline. That’s when we found Daniel and Tori, and we truly couldn’t be more grateful. Our dog stayed with Daniel for a two-week training program, surrounded by other dogs in a structured, positive environment. When he came back home, the difference was night and day — he listens to commands, walks beautifully on a leash, and is clearly more balanced and confident. This experience was not only effective but fun and educational for us as owners, too. Daniel and Tori are not just skilled trainers — they’re passionate, genuine, and incredibly supportive people. We are beyond happy with the results and feel so much more confident as dog owners now. If we could give them 10 stars, we would. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for real, lasting results. It was truly a game-changer for us and our pup.

I truly cannot say enough about the life-changing training Bodhi received from Daniel and Tori. Since he was a puppy, Bodhi struggled with reactivity and a general lack of confidence, especially in our densely populated neighborhood where we constantly encounter other dogs and people. Walks felt more like a high-stress mission than a peaceful routine. But after working with Daniel and Tori, Bodhi has done a complete 180. He now walks calmly on a loose leash, responds to my commands with focus, and most importantly, he seems more at ease in his own skin. I no longer feel anxious about taking him out, and for the first time, I genuinely enjoy our time together outside. If you’re dealing with similar challenges, don’t wait and reach out to them. Their guidance, care, and expertise made all the difference, and I can say with confidence: you will not regret it.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Daniel and Tori at San Diego Dog Training!! We adopted an Aussie Shepherd mix in March who was very reactive on leash, displayed some dog on dog resource guarding with our other dog, and who just generally needed to learn some manners. He was the sweetest boy outside of these issues but we were at our wits end with some of his behavior and feeling extremely frustrated after months of trying to train him on our own. We found San Diego Dog Training and after reading the other glowing reviews, decided to send our boy to their board and train program and we are so glad we did!! From the get go, Daniel and Tori were responsive and reassuring. They took the time to get to know our dog and make sure we felt comfortable with the process. Daniel’s demeanor is so calm that when our dog first met him, he didn’t even bark (he typically would bark at men he didn’t know). Since returning from the board and train, our dog is able to walk on leash and pass right by other dogs with no issue (which was absolutely impossible before) and his behavior at home has also improved! We were sent pictures throughout the two weeks and at the end, Daniel and Tori sent us home with a dog bed, a soft muzzle, and a personalized print out of all the commands our dog had learned! They were available for questions after we picked up our dog and even offered to come to our house at no extra charge in case we needed to reinforce the training. Daniel and Tori truly have a gift working with animals and they have made an enormous difference in our dog’s behavior (also our sanity)! Thanks to SD Dog Training, we have a dog we can enjoy and trust instead of feel frustrated and overwhelmed by. We feel so fortunate to have them in our corner and absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a kind, knowledgeable, and evidence based trainer!
