Scooter Dog Training

We completed a private training lesson with Brian for our dog, Jasper, and my husband and I were so impressed!! From the moment Brian walked through the door, Jasper immediately started responding to him and his tail never stopped wagging. Brian was incredibly knowledgeable, confident, and also patient with me when I kept doing the commands incorrectly. I was concerned that some of Jasper’s behavior wouldn’t be able to be corrected, but after seeing Brian’s simple commands work instantly, I now feel much more confident in us all practicing and learning how to work with Jasper. The price was also very reasonable, and they offer various training options for you to choose from. I am so grateful we found this place - thank you, Brian!!!

We chose Scooter dog Training at the recommendation of a total stranger who happened to have a mini bernedoodle as well. Our puppy was responding to our own at home training until one day he became wildly out of control and hard to manage. He would run out of the house if one our kids opened the door, would jump constantly on people and furniture, was chewing and stealing everything he could get his paws on, and he pulled his leash a lot on walks. The puppy phase was peaking and he was no longer a calm fun presence in our home—instead he was a big source of stress that sometimes left me in tears from being so overwhelmed and worried that his normal puppy phase would be a life sentence! This all changed after ONE session with Brian. After our first session our dog immediately had a calmer demeanor and it became very clear that he was so eager to learn his place in the pack and listen and bond with us. Training became something I looked forward to doing and I was so happy to continue with Scooter Dog Training. We invested in the 12 day daily at home training session. Brian has such a special connection with dogs. Our puppy listened to him from the moment Brian walked in the door. It was incredible to witness! Brian broke down commands so that I learned the dog psychology behind them. This made things so much easier for me because now I think with my dog’s brain in mind and I am starting to think about what his needs are instead of what I just want him to do. I set him up for success by leading with knowledge, patience and consistency. I owe this to Scooter Dog Training. The foundation Brian set has made training our pup so easy to work with that I can now train everyone around me who cares for him so we are all consistent. It’s grandparent friendly! The only challenge we had was that our pup hardly ever disobeyed commands with Brian so at times it was hard to see what we had to do in the event he did not listen—but the text support outside of our lessons fixed that problem and that’s a good one to have in my opinion. If you are wondering whether or not this is worth the investment, I assure you it is. Our four month old puppy feels like a fully grown, matured dog. It’s marvelous! If a someone comes to our home he goes to his place and doesn’t leave until we tell him to. He never jumps on people or on furniture. If someone opens a door he stays inside unless commanded to walk through it. If he’s got something in his mouth that he shouldn’t most times I just look at him and he drops it! Otherwise I’ve got a command for that. And yesterday I took my three year old on her first walk with him. She darted ahead our dog did not even think about running after her. He walked calmly by my side without me having to say or do anything. I look forward to many more walks like that in the future. Thank you Brian and Scooter Dog Training!
