Sensitive Dog

We can not speak more highly of Julie and sensitive dog. We have a dog who has developed separation anxiety after several life changes and a move. He now barks the second we leave and we are completely unable to leave him alone. After just one session with Julie we are seeing so much progress. Everything was explained in a thorough but clear way that allowed us to come home and get started on training right away. We can’t thank you enough, Julie, and are excited to continue working with you soon.

Julie was so good with Chaco! She really brought our nervous dog out of his shell. She taught us games that we could then play at home with Chaco in order to increase his confidence and his bonds with us. Julie also gave us some advice on food which I believe has improved Chaco's energy level. She is a wonderful source of knowledge and we definitely appreciate what we learned in our first session. We plan to go back for more.

I brought my girl Jemma to Julie last week for some fresh insight and clarification on my handling/training. Not only was she super clear with the training sides of things, she presented all her information in ways that made complete sense. No extra jargon, no overly deep dives with confusing terms, etc. She also presented a lot of alternative treats, food, and ways to take care of fleas/ticks that was all healthy and safe for dogs. Both my dogs go WILD for food time now that they are getting a frozen raw diet. They know what the Smallbatch brand bag looks like and I'm pretty sure that bag is more exciting than the treat bag to them! Julie was also awesome at tuning up my handling skills with Jemma. As well as really pushing me towards 'job training' for Jemma to help her with her anxiety. Thinking she was a more a shepard/doberman mix prior, Julie lead me embrace that Jemma is definitely more cattle dog than the others. Being such a working breed, I understood that would require adjustment for training on my side. Overall, my initial session with Julie was amazing. 100% worth traveling over 2 hours (thanks traffic!) to attend. I would absolutely suggest Sensitive Dog Training to other people. I will often be referring back to the material she handed out, as well as the email with more links and information to check out.

We have had 2 incredible sessions with Sensitive Dog to work with our high-energy cattledog Momo. She came to us as a stray in September, and we quickly realized we needed professional help to meet her many needs. all of Sensitive Dog‘s suggestions have been very helpful and our pup is super happy and so are we. Then, when we found out we would be expecting a baby, we went back to Sensitive Dog to help Momo with the transition. Just last week we utilized the training and preparation that Sensitive Dog gave us to introduce Momo to our newborn successfully. We are overjoyed that they are get along so well, and we could not have done this without the guidance of these amazing, amazing dog trainers… Highly recommend!
