Serenity K-9

In this week before Thanksgiving we wanted to share how grateful we are for Kevin and Serenity K9! We feel blessed that they are an active part of our pet training journey! Do you ever have those times when you set out to accomplish one goal and end up resolving another? Our family was on a mission for help due to some issues that had started with our Senior Shepherd -Thor. We had noticed some changes in behaviors that we all agreed- needed a professional approach. Heightened anxiety levels, signs of aggression never shown before, and fear of certain noises. We were concerned and we had just welcomed a new puppy into our home – Cooper. After a dear friend recommended Serenity K9 and our family had an amazing consultation to address concerns about Thor’s behaviors we agreed that Serenity K9 was the perfect match for Thor and our family. Kevin was incredible about hearing and understanding our concerns and clear about the action plan, family involvement and going over expectations during the training period. Serenity K9 welcomed Thor in for board and train. Kevin quickly recognized that there was a lot more going on than training concerns with our beloved Shepherd. Sometimes we are way to close, as pet owners, to understand the magnitude of certain actions and behaviors of our sweet pets.  We just know that things are terribly off.  As a professional trainer, Kevin spoke with our family right away about his concerns with Thor and was completely humble and honest about what our options were as a family. I say this because Kevin, as a professional and highly ethical person, will place your pet and family at the highest level. Kevin stayed close in contact as we encountered many challenging medical issues over the course of the following weeks.  We lost our beloved Thor due to neurological issues a few weeks later. Kevin’s love, dedication and understanding for animals goes far beyond the norm. His commitment to helping the animal and owner learn how to work through behaviors and have the knowledge to continue the correct actions after training is huge. His commitment to the owner and pet during and after training, speaks volumes about him as a person and business owner.  You get genuine, tough love, truth, ALL in, hard work, educational training. For YOU and your pet! We have been working with and continuing our training with Serenity K9 for our puppy, Cooper who is 7 months old. Kevin is providing us with a great foundation for him! We were overwhelmed with our 6 month old German Sheperd/ Mailnois mix Ginger after a visit to Doggy Daycare, she came back a different puppy, very nervous. I reached out Serenity K-9, Kevin contacted me right away. He evaluated her right away and came up with a game plan on how to help us help her. She started with him when she turned 7 months old. He was VERY patient with her as it took time to getting used to be away from home. Kevin treats every puppy/dog as an individual and trains them accordingly. He worked with her on all my concerns. It got to the point that we couldn’t walk her. After training her he trained US! He definitely has a heart for helping them. Let’s face it dogs want structure, wants a schedule, Ginger is so much happier with structure. We are so glad and grateful that we found Kevin - appreciate all his hard work training us and her. We brought our 19-month-old German Shepherd, Apollo, to Serenity K9 for training with Kevin, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Apollo is a large dog, but still very much a puppy, and we wanted to address his bad habits before they became harder to break. From the very beginning, Kevin was upfront, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything to us — what to do, what not to do, and how to maintain consistency once Apollo came home. The transformation has been unbelievable. We truly have a brand-new version of our dog — calmer, more focused, and the absolute best version of himself. We couldn’t have asked for a better trainer or experience. We brought our six-month-old Rottweiler, Luna, to Kevin for training, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! He did an absolutely fantastic job. We have 4 kids in the house and Luna was playing a little too rough and not listing. Luna came home so well-behaved, confident, and calm it’s like we have a whole new dog. She listens beautifully, respects the house, and we can finally relax knowing she’s responding the way we’ve always hoped and not going to hurt anyone. Kevin was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. We’re so grateful for his dedication and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and effective trainer!

I could not be happier with the training my two dogs received! Over the course of four weeks, Kevin not only worked with my dogs but also took excellent care of them. When we started, both of my dogs were very reactive and difficult to manage, but now they are friendly, social, and so much more enjoyable to be around. What impressed me most is that the training went beyond just teaching my dogs commands. I learned so much about my own relationship with them, how my interactions influence their behavior, and how to confidently handle different situations. Kevin gave me tools and knowledge that will last well beyond the sessions. This experience was truly transformative for both my dogs and me.
