Shickle K9

This training exceeded our expectations. We are one year past our training and King still has all of the skills. My husband and I have even been able to help some of our friends’ dogs. Not only do we feel prepared to train King, but our future dogs as well. King was so reactive towards other dogs. I stopped taking king for walks because he pulled so much it hurt. He was treat aggressive and one night injured my older dog very badly. That’s when we called Shickle K9. This training worked so well with our schedules. We were very busy at the time and they were so flexible. We had our older dog in the home at the time(he has since passed) and they gave us helpful tools for this dog as well, even though it wasn’t the dog we paid to receive training. Shickle K9 was always a text away and we were able to reach out anytime with any questions or concerns. Even a year later, we are still able to do that. Although, we don’t seem to have needed to in quite some time because king is doing so well. King can now walk off leash for hikes or strolls around the block. He no longer jumps on people that come to greet him. He used to literally bounce off the walls when we came home and would end up rearranging the living room. Now he sits right next to you when you come through the door. He’s still just as excited and his whole body wiggles and he can barely sit it’s wiggling so much, but my living room is intact. King is less treat aggressive but still has his moments, he is still an animal after all. King went from weekly incidents of injuring another animal over a treat to 2 incidents in a year of snapping at my older dog but left no injuries. That’s a win in our book. The training appears to be expensive, but it was so so worth it! They also worked with us and we set up a payment plan. We can’t recommend them enough! People always comment on how king’s such a good listener. Especially those who knew king before training. They couldn’t believe it’s the same dog. A year later, he still gets comments on how good he is and what an amazing difference the training made.

My dog did a 180° turn around in two weeks, I was extremely surprised and appreciative at his progress. I would suggest Shickle K9 to anyone who wants that special 1on 1 relationship with there dog. Since my Jaxx Boy 2nd has been home he’s been stuck to me like no other dog has ever been. In my experience the training has taken our bond and trust to a whole new level. Currently Jaxx Boy and myself are working on off leash walking in in the neighborhood, Anyone who knows the bull terrier breed knows that this is not an easy task due to their excitement/spunk/hard head. This would not of been possible without the help of Andy and his team.

To say I am in awe is an understatement! Our dog has horrible anxiety and barks incessantly. During our first visit, we were given tools to immediately implement and we have already seen such a change. Andrew had such a wonderful, calm demeanor with our dog. Not only is he knowledgeable, he truly is passionate about what he does and it shows. The amount of information we learned is truly priceless. We could not be more thankful and look forward to learning even more in the future! Thank you a million times!

Andy Shickle is a fantastic and experienced trainer. Our 8-month-old German Shephard Zeus was difficult to control – chasing cars, hardly listening to commands, and worst - barking at people and dogs. We did a bootcamp with the Shickle crew, and this dog came back completely changed. We were totally surprised and impressed. Now Zeus is such a joy to have around and to take on walks. Thanks to the Shickle K9 crew for also training us on how to keep training Zeus. I highly recommend Shickle K9 – no matter what you dog’s age is.
