Shore K9

We love Shore K9! Our 10 month old Golden retriever Cooper loves hanging out with the owners Bruce, Jen, and Evan, and all his dog friends! He completed their training program and is a great listener, walker, and can find his "calm" amongst the chaos. He has also learned to successfully socialize with all types of dogs, big and small. This is our first family pet and we rely heavily on their expertise, which has been priceless! The daycare services are easy to book online and very reasonable. We can't recommend this place enough, they are great!

I can’t say enough great things about ShoreK9! They trained my dog Scooby, and the transformation has been incredible. Before training, Scooby had his challenges, but the team was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to understand his personality and gave us the tools we needed to keep reinforcing everything at home. Now Scooby is not only well-behaved, but he also goes to daycare there and he absolutely loves it. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in a safe, structured, and caring environment where the staff genuinely care about him. I can not express how much gratitude I have for Jen and Bruce. I remember calling them crying thinking I was doing something wrong and seeking help when it came to our pup Dug. We got Dug at 8 weeks old, did the training at PetSmart, socialized him early at dog parks/dog beaches, always around kids and people, and reinforced positive behavior with treats (which caused even more problems looking back). We thought we were doing everything right, until he became around 9 months old and realized he was getting out of control and entering his crazy teenage phase. Dug wouldn’t listen to anyone or do anything asked unless it was on his terms or bribed with treats. With us having a 3 year old child around him, I looked into professional training immediately. When we first started their program Dug was a STUBBORN, fearful, extremely food motivated golden retriever. In only 10 weeks Jen and Bruce gave Dug and ourselves the best tools to help break his bad habits and give him the confidence we knew he had with their training and daycare program. They would even meet in public with us and Dug to really refine the new skills he was learning. Dug no longer pulls on his leash for walks, instead he stays right by our side listening to our commands. He follows directions without any treats now, he is no longer afraid of inanimate objects when we go for walks, and his socialization around other dogs has drastically improved. Now, it’s the best feeling in the world to get videos of him jumping, prancing, and playing with the other doggy friends he’s making. I would recommend Shore K9 to anyone and everyone!! Even though Dug has finished his training program we still plan on using their doggy daycare services because he enjoys it so much. They are truely experts at their jobs! And there is no doubting their love, compassion, and patience toward every dog they help.❤️

We checked out shore K9 because a few of our friends/colleagues recommended them. Our boy Kai would bark at all hours of the night and caused complaints from neighbors. He had bad anxiety and reactiveness towards new people and other pets to the point where we were told medication would be best, we wanted to avoid that but since he’s a 5 year old husky we didn’t think training would fully work out for him. That’s until we met Jen and Bruce they were so welcoming and made us feel secure that even though he was 5 years old and a husky (listens when they want) he was definitely trainable. After the first 2 weeks Kai began warming up to everyone and loved going to training/daycare. Even at his age and breed he was so great with the training and learned the commands being taught. It’s been so much easier for us to leave him alone at home knowing he won’t have anxiety and bark all the time. He doesn’t bother/lunge at our cats anymore. He doesn’t even lunge/bark at dogs outside and doesn't tug on the leash when walking because of the training tactics that they taught him/us! We’ve seen a huge change in his character and he’s got so much more confidence. We are so incredibly grateful for everyone at Shore K9! ❤️
