Sit Happens

I am so glad I found Vitoria and Sit Happens. I have had a few private lessons in my home with my new puppy and I can really see that Vitoria is passionate about her training. I am self employed and I don’t have the time I feel my puppy needs right now. I am planning on scheduling her for the Board and Training with Vitoria in September. I am excited to see she learns during that time. I will resume her private training after so I can learn, too. I highly recommend Sit Happens.

This past weekend we had the pleasure of working with Vitoria from SitHappens, and I honestly can't say enough good things about the experience. We went in assuming Percy, our younger dog, was "the problem," but Vitoria picked up almost immediately that the real source of tension was Dean, our older dog, who was stressed in ways we hadn't recognized. That kind of read on a dog's underlying state — rather than just reacting to the surface behavior — tells you you're working with someone who genuinely understands canine body language and stress signals, not just obedience mechanics. What impressed us most was how clearly she communicated throughout. She didn't just hand us a set of commands; she explained the "why" behind everything, and she wasn't shy about calling us out when our assumptions or techniques were working against us. That directness was exactly what we needed. She taught us how to actually help Dean relax and communicate that sense of calm to him, and in doing so shifted our whole approach — we're now working to let the dogs take cues from us instead of us constantly reacting to demands from them. We walked away with a genuinely different framework for interacting with both dogs, and we're already looking forward to continuing to work with Vitoria. If you want a trainer who reads dogs accurately, communicates like an educator, and isn't afraid to be honest with you, SitHappens is worth every penny.

We were so impressed with Vitoria's knowledge and command of dog behavior. We booked two in-home sessions with her to train our new Boston Terrier puppy, and we could not be more pleased with the results. Pretty much as soon as Vitoria arrived at our doorstep, we noticed a big difference in the way our puppy engages. She taught us how to correct puppy nipping, stealing, jumping, and unauthorized chewing, along with showing us best practices for teaching basic obedience (come, down, drop, etc.) Best of all, she helped me teach my four kids how to engage with the puppy in ways that make the puppy more comfortable and encourage good behavior in him. I really appreciate how Vitoria gives her clients practical, hands-on strategies and the confidence to use them well. I've watched so many puppy training videos online, and none of that compares to the tools Vitoria gave us in person. She is also willing to kindly answer questions via text throughout the week.
