I’m honestly really upset with my experience at Sit Means Sit. I came in hopeful that they could help my reactive dog, but I saw no real results at all. I followed everything they told me to do, but it felt like they left me with all the work while taking a huge amount of money for it. The training felt rushed and impersonal — like they just wanted to get it over with. My dog’s behavior didn’t improve, and instead of feeling supported, I felt completely on my own. For how much they charge, I expected real progress, not quick advice and a pat on the back. It’s frustrating because I trusted them with my dog and my money, and I feel totally let down. I wouldn’t recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone who truly wants help with their dog. Look for a trainer who actually listens, follows through, and cares about both you and your dog.

have a Belgian Malinois that I took to Sit Means Sit in Kennewick to help with her reactivity, which was just starting at the time. We went for three months, and there were no positive changes in my dog - instead, she became aggressive. I do not recommend this place for dogs with reactivity or aggression issues. You have to do all the training work yourself at home, and if your dog is aggressive, they don't handle them at all. It's not worth paying that much money because they won't really help you. You'll end up stressed, and so will your dog. If they tell you they have experience with reactive or aggressive dogs, let me tell you - they don't. Don't waste your time and money there. Me and my partner started our 3yr old mini poodle Leo with SMS after he started reacting violently towards people when he was with us, to the point we couldn’t go out with him anymore and struggled finding someone who could dog sit him safely. All the staff at SMS has taught us so much and we feel more confident in being able to predict and control Leo’s behavior, and their training methods has Leo paying attention to us much better than before in social environments. There’s been a huge difference and we can take him out with us again, have joined parades with SMS with success, and have recently enrolled our puppy. SMS have also been very flexible as some months we aren’t able to attend any group classes, and they’ve worked with us to organize private one on one lessons to make up for them and make sure we don’t fall behind. But I love that you can attend as many classes a month as you want, so progress feels more personable. I’ve recommended SMS to everyone I can because of the huge improvement and the feeling of really taking care of and doing our best for our dogs
