These programs are designed specifically for puppies because their first 20 weeks are the most important when it comes to training! If we teach them the proper way to behave from the start, it can prevent unwanted behaviors in the future.

How do you handle a dog who’s aggressive and scared?

Handling a dog that's both aggressive and scared requires a combination of patience, understanding, and effective training techniques. It's crucial to avoid escalating the situation by not provoking the dog or putting them in stressful situations.
Understanding the root cause of the dog's aggression and fear is essential. Identifying these triggers allows us to develop a targeted training plan.
Positive reinforcement techniques are key in addressing this behavior. We focus on rewarding calm and non-aggressive behaviors while gradually desensitizing the dog to their triggers. This might involve creating a safe and comfortable environment for the dog, providing mental stimulation, and engaging in activities that build trust and confidence.
Consistency is paramount in our training approach. We establish clear boundaries and expectations for the dog's behavior, ensuring that everyone involved in their care follows the same guidelines.
Do you expose dogs to different environments and situations during training?
This is our favorite. During our trainings we train around many other dogs, go on field trips all around the community and of course our group classes are where we create confidence building drills for real life scenarios.

We did the 10 day board and train with our dog Bailey and boy was it worth it. Before training he was such a good dog at home but the second we left the house he wouldn't listen and was agressive towards other dogs. It got to the point where we didn't enjoy the things that we use to such as hiking, walks, camping, etc... He wouldn't listen and I really didn't know how to correct his behavior.
The program gave him a good base and gave us the tools we needed be able to train him moving forward. It's been about 14 months now and Bailey is a completely different dog and no longer worry about him. We take him on multi-hour long walks off leash and finally don't have anxiety about being in public with him. It's calmed him down so much, his reactiveness is pretty much gone and 100% controllable.
We loved it so much we just put our puppy Enzo through the 20 day program. Before the program he was an absolute terror and really had us wondering if we bit off more than we could chew. Now he's already just as dialed as Bailey if not better in some areas in just 3 months. Finally doesn't give us anxiety and we have fallen in love with him.
The program gives your dog a good foundation and understanding of commands and if you stay consistent after I have no doubt in my mind you will find success. We will continue bringing our future dogs, definitely worth it!

While he’s still a stubborn little work in progress they haven’t given up on him. I appreciate everything they’re doing to help and tailor the training to meet his needs.
