We are long-time Giant Schnauzer owners. One purchased and 3 rescues under our belts. We have always been able to train and have very well behaved dogs.. until this last rescue. When we received him he was only 16 months old and we were his 4th placement. We knew from the beginning we needed help! We purchased the 5 day jump start and I can honestly say it’s been worth every dollar. JD and Kolby have made it their mission to get this dog figured out! They have spent so much time with us “training us” so we can have an amazing dog. You have to put the time in yourself and do your homework but it makes a big difference and is so worth it. We still have work to do but they have been there every step of the way. Do the jump start and then go into group classes! They support you for the life of your dog so it’s not like most trainers where you get 5 hours and then they leave you on your own. And our boy loves seeing JD and Kolby! Just spend the money and do it! You won’t be sorry!! Thank you Sit Means Sit! You truly are the BEST trainers in town!

I’m so happy with Sit Means Sit Dog Training. We are continually impressed with the progress, our 10 month old Bordoodle puppy shows us. Everyone we interacted with from the first meeting, ongoing communications, and trainings have went above and beyond what I would expect from a Dog Training program. We opted for the jumpstart program that includes additional training and assistance well beyond the initial intensive week. What I appreciate most is their willingness to deal with the humans that also are in training too. There is endless patience and reinforcement to help keep you progressing forward no matter what stage you’re at or length of time between training sessions. For example, we opted for the jumpstart when our pup was 6 months, he’s now almost 10 months old and they continue to train and support us - Lil’ Mr. Smee got it that first week for sure, but I’m taking a bit longer. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit Training programs they really know their stuff and are so consistent with their methods. Being with one of the trainers is just like being with another because they all work the same methods … very consistently to help understand your dog and how to communicate with your dog In a way they understand, which is just priceless. I look forward to continuing on them and eventually going to the group classes once I catch up with my dog lol. I’m currently trying to figure out how to share some photos and videos. Today I was able to take my dog on leash into tractor supply and shop (with cart even!) and overheard positive comment on how closely Smee stayed close and moved with me with a ‘slacked’ leash. Pretty amazing!!! Especially, when before training, he basically walked me on the leash. If you are looking for a good solid Dog Training Program that not only knows what they’re doing, but teaches it to your dog and to you, Sit Means Sit is the perfect choice.

We didn't want to just teach our gsd pup to sit and stay, etc. We wanted to be able to get her attention and keep her safe in any situation. She is very smart, but with very high energy and easily distracted with a slightly aggressive way of meeting new dogs. We couldn't take her anywhere around other dogs such as the dog park, dog beach, outdoor restaurants, etc. It was unsafe. Brian at Sit Means Sit took her from total distraction to 90% obedience in just 4 lessons. They do use an E-Collar. I was hesitant about it at first, but it does NOT shock them. It's just a vibration. Enough to let her know we are asking her to do something specific or recalling her from a dangerous situation. Regular training was not going to work for this one. We have finished phase one (personal one on one training) and getting ready to start phase two (group classes). We are already so impressed. I'm disabled and couldn't handle her at all in public. Now, I feel confident that I can. Thank you so much to Brian and Sit Means Sit. She is a happy dog and we are happy owners.

We have 2 dachshunds , both of whom are around 2 years old. Anybody that is familiar with dachshunds knows that this breed is smart but stubborn. Our pups are sweet girls but we need them to listen and respond to what we need them to do. We had tried training when they were younger with limited success. As our pups got older, they were developing several bad habits that we could not get them to stop. We had seen the Sit Means Sit (SMS) van around our neighborhood and we did some research online and decided to reach out. JD came to our house and showed us the program and we decided to give it a go. We are so glad we did! Kolbey has been the trainer working with our girls. They took to him immediately and it is clear that he loves dogs and loves what he does. I’ll admit we were a bit nervous when he took them to the training facility the first time. That nervousness was quickly alleviated when they returned a couple of hours later. They were both responding to simple commands and were listening to Kolbey. It was like we were watching 2 different dogs… after a couple of hours of training! We are now a couple of weeks into the program. The turnaround in our pups has been simply amazing. They are responding to our commands very well and their behavior is steadily improving. It does take effort and steady reinforcement on our part. This is an owner hands on program. But the results make the effort well worth it. The good folks at SMS know what they are doing and are good at it. Their love of dogs is obvious and it shows in the results they provide. We are so glad we called them!
