Sit Means Sit Cincinnati

I would highly recommend Sit Means Sit Cincinnati. I took my 10 month old Siberian Husky for a 2 week board and train. After the first week Jeremy walked us through how to use the e-collar with him. That weekend was an adjustment in our household. When I dropped him off for the second week needless to say I was overwhelmed, Heather, the owner could see that and took time out of her morning to sit down and talk through things with me. I walked away feeling so much more calm. After the two weeks we still worked at home, but summer was busy and we couldn't make it to group class immediately. When we were finally able to come to group class my dog was a little behind. We did a private lesson with CJ to get caught up. When we returned to group classes the next week we were on the same page as everyone else. We've been going to group classes as often as we can now. Both Kenai and I look forward to them each week. We really enjoy Jeremy, CJ, and Mia's energy in training the dogs. We always have fun while working. After going on our first pack walk. We trailed the end of the pack at first. Lots of distractions caused lots of pulling and no focus. Lydia was amazing at showing me how to slow Kenai down when his mind is going 100 mph with distractions and to get his focus. A new environment found him pulling and me using too much leash pressure to try to control, which is my biggest struggle that I am constantly working on. Both Lydia and Heather talked me through it and gave me pieces of advice as to how to work on it. The pack walks are such a great way to take what you learn in group class and apply it outside of the classroom while having the Sit Means Sit team there to help work you through some specific items that you and your dog need a little extra help with. Rebecca is also wonderful. She is always so quick to respond and help walk me through processes. When reaching out with a bunch of questions about boarding she walked me through what it would look like for my dog and answered any concerns that I might have. Everyone on the team has been so kind and welcoming. They are all amazing! I love how everyone there loves on my pup the way I do. Kenai and I have made friends that we can't wait to see! It's a wonderful way to end our week. We never leave without a smile on both of our faces. Most people know Huskies can be high energy and stubborn. They showed me how to work with my high energy and stubborn husky to be the best he can be. We're still a work in progress, but we have big goals of making it to the advanced classes. Because of this team I am confident that we will get there.

I am grateful that we found Sit Means Sit. Iris is a completely different dog from when we first adopted her. To see her go from being reactive on leash to being capable of off leash walking with other dogs is truly incredible. The staff at SMS bring so much knowledge to the program and through them we are better dog owners. Jeremy, CJ and Mia teach us and our dogs with so much love and patience; they provide a safe space for Iris to develop into the best version of herself. Heather leads pack walks during the summer and we have the opportunity to apply our weekly lessons in the real world. Heather challenges the dogs (and us) during the walks; keeping them interesting and fun. Iris is capable of more than we ever thought. We will be lifelong members of SMS and will always bring our dogs here. I do not feel like I can adequately express how thankful I am that we found this program. I recommend SMS to every dog owner.

Sit Means Sit is amazing! They have been so patient with our boy and us - we have a very stubborn Wheaten who had no training before he came to us at 2.5 years old. We have mainly worked with CJ and Jeremy - they truly care about the dogs and their owners and want everyone to be successful. Buddy gets excited when we pull into the parking lot. I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for a place to train their dog!!
