I am told this place trains with shock collar on all its dogs, even before the dog learns commands. Is this true?

Hey Jennylee, my name is Anthony and I own our Denver location. Call it what you like but the modern tech and modern, attention-based approach is very different than a past mindset of “shock collar” or training. More trainers and people are exploring and using collars now than ever because of the advancement and evolution. You’re welcome to visit with us personally for free and educate and then judge for yourself what makes sense. We’ve been at it for 20 years, so the system, technique and results are really well documented.

They don't call it a shock collar since they use it for "positive reinforcement", but yes. It's definitely a shock collar. They will also recommend your dog to wear it at all times.

We train any dog, any age, any problem! We'll start puppies as early as 8-10 weeks and grow them for life; we've had 12 year old dogs come for training too! And we purposely located outside of Denver so we don't have breed restrictions.

It depends on the dog and specific needs! They will give you a free consultation where they meet you and the dog! My dog did one week boarding. Total was $1850.

Laura, I'm presuming you have our Sit Means Sit collar which also has a lifetime warranty! So, if the controller is not functioning, the manufacturer will repair or replace. If you've lost it call our office and we can coordinate getting you a new one. Numbers are listed in Google profile.

I went with the 5 day train and board program for my dog Finnley and we had a great experience! The one on one sessions I've had since Finnley's train and board program have been so beneficial and helpful for me. Finn has learned a lot and is very receptive to his E collar. We still have work to do and I have to maintain consistency within the next six months so he maintains his skills, but I've seen great improvement from Finn! I used to be so anxious with his reactivity to other dogs, but now he can go to the dog park and play for hours! He’s consistent with his commands and he loved the staff at Sit Means Sit. Anytime we return he gets so excited to see everyone. Thank you!

We are very happy with Sit Means sit! Money well spent! We boarded our 6 month old Siberian husky for 5 days and the outcome of her training is outstanding! The continued professionalism of the Denver Team has been amazing! We recommend Sit Means Sit 110 percent for all training needs! And we will continue to give our support!

My 6 month old chocolate lab and I have had a wonderful experience with Anthony and the Sit Means Sit team. He always comes home a happy and tired pup and he's learned so much within a month of working with the team. Walking in a straight line, less jumping on people, he's learned place, crate, come, and sit. Can't recommend enough!
