Sit Means Sit Dog Training

I've had great success with SitMeansSit, Forsyth having worked with them for the past year. Considering this was our first pet and both of us (my wife and I) were working, we were very nervous if it would workout on having a pet at home and to be completely honest without the team at SitMeansSit we would really have been lost. Alex helped us choose the right breed for our needs and gave us tips on what to watch for when we picked up the puppy. He referred us to a dog boarding as well as a veterinarian and both of them worked out absolutely great for us. Once we got our puppy, Alex came home more than once to help us setup the environment for the puppy to feel comfortable and give us guidance on handling him around the house. We started the weekly puppy classes where we would take him in for an hour and he was such an “eager to learn” puppy. Hayley who led the training classes that I attended definitely had a way with dogs and was always patient to listen to my questions and give me very elaborate answers (though I’m sure she’s had to do it a million times before!). We made it a habit of repeating the lessons back home and started really enjoying our time with our dog and could see him having fun as well. We also put our dog in for the two week intensive training with Colleen and in those two weeks he came out a completely different dog. All the puppy energy seemed to have calmed down and he became much more fun to engage with. He often got his cues way before we even gave him that. Colleen is a truly gifted trainer and she has been amazing at follow ups often visiting us at home more than once at home to help address specific questions / issues we have been facing. In summary, I believe that this team at SitMeansSit owes their success to their knowledge and experience in their field as well as the fact that they love what they do. I am truly grateful for helping me bring Archer (our male Cavapoo) into our lives and getting us (and him) settled with each other. We have truly go so much of love and affection from him and he is a joy to have around.

This place. I mean wow. Thanks to these trainers, particularly Jennifer, my dog Kirby has transformed. From a dog that used to be overtly aggressive, nervous, to now a dog that can walk off leash and is considerably less reactive, the change is remarkable. They were honest from the beginning, the at home work will be so important, you need to be dedicated to changing/training your dog, but they gave us the most valuable tools to help better understand and help my dog. If you do not do your part at home, nothing will change. But truly they are patient, kind and passionate about dogs! They were also real with us in the way of what can we expect, we did not feel like we were given false hopes that because he is going to be in this training program that he will automatically change. But truly, I don’t think I can say enough good things about this business. Thank you Jennifer, and Sit Means Sit! Your dedication to your career and clients does not go un-noticed. I cannot wait to work with them again for future needs!
