One of our biggest training philosophies is tackling any training issue at the root of the problem, which is usually away from the home under distracting environments. That being said, we encourage both private and group training sessions at our facility or in a public setting that we refer to as “field trips”! Yes, we do! Depending on your dog's current skill level, we will usually begin with on-leash training around distractions until you feel confident in your dog’s recall training. I was able to get him to focus when needed. He walked pretty perfectly on the leash, he sat and laid down on command. S-M-S dog training has given me a way to converse with Newman. The results exceeded my expectations. My dog is now more obedient, confident, and responsive, and I've gained valuable tools to continue reinforcing good behavior at home. The trainers explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made the process enjoyable for both us and my dog.

The staff here excels in their ability to obedience train dogs (& then their humans) and laid the foundation with our puppy to grow into a well behaved member of our family & the larger community. We continued lessons thru his first year and have enjoyed the safety of kenneling/day care through the intervening years. Our dog "never looks back" when we bring him to SMS; he eagerly greets all his Trainer friends and can't wait to get into the play yard. We can't recommend this business/program more highly. Sit means sit is a great dog training program. The trainers are excellent trainers. They answer all your questions and help with any training issue you have. The staff are really helpful as well. I only have 3 weeks into my training but I'm very impressed with the progress of my 6 month old french bulldog, Delilah. The training program is a little pricey but worth it.
