Sit Means Sit Dog Training - Charleston

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sit Means Sit Dog Training, and I can't recommend them enough! Their use of e-collars in training has been incredibly effective. I have worked with Cassie, Christin and Zack and they were all exceptional throughout the entire process! I took my 8 month Golden Retriever to work on Obedience and manners! Anytime I felt confused. They would walk me through the process and help explain it for my understanding as well as Oakley’s. Cassie kept Oakley for a few nights and took him to daycare each day, where he received further reinforcement of his training. I got updates and photos and felt at ease that he was happy and safe! Christin has helped me address specific challenges that “appeared” during group sessions. She was encouraging, supportive and her tips made a world of difference in my training! Zach has been running the group sessions that I am attending. He does a great job of tending to all participants and their individual needs. Overall, the team at Sit Means Sit is exceptional! We had the most incredible experience at Sit Means Sit with our dog, Louie. Before training, Lou was anxious and hesitant on walks, which really limited how much he could enjoy everyday life. Through his training sessions – and everything they taught us along the way – he now feels safe and confident on walks and is even reliable off leash, whether we are at the park or around a group of people. Sit Means Sit truly transformed Louie’s life, and in doing so, they changed ours too. The staff is also so knowledgeable, patient and friendly.

Sit Means Sit has truly helped my pup and me grow so much together. Cash is a 5-year-old pit bull mix rescue I’ve had since he was a baby. Even with our strong bond, it’s been a challenge to channel all that classic pittie energy. Now, he’s an angel on the leash—and believe me, I had tried everything on YouTube. One of the biggest breakthroughs has been working through his sensitivity to touch. His paws used to be completely off-limits, but now I can pick them up with ease. I’m feeling much more confident that vet visits and bath time will be smoother and less stressful for both of us. But beyond just obedience, there’s now a deeper sense of mutual respect, clearer boundaries, and actual listening—like listening the first time, not the 15th. It’s such a relief to feel confident bringing him anywhere and everywhere with so much more ease. It’s made such a difference in both of our lives.
