Do you offer training for a week to drop off dog at your location?
Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you're describing a board & train program which we no longer offer. We have switched over to a day training model which is still immersive like boarding programs but are only 1 day a week for a number of weeks and you have a lesson with your dog at the end of the day training. We have found that day training is a very effective training format to not only fully train your dog, but gives us the opportunity to make sure that owners have all the tools they need to continue with training management, ultimately providing long lasting and reliable results. Sit Means Sit was a great discovery! My one year old Airedale Terrier, Kenny was OUT OF CONTROL! I have trained several dogs over the years, including two other Airedales, but I was really struggling to manage Kenny’s behavior.
The trainers at Sit Means Sit changed that. Once Kenny & I learned to speak the same language our “communication skills” improved greatly! After the first full day of training, Kenny began to show signs of respect. He quickly learned the commands and we practiced religiously! Every trainer had a lovely way with Kenny in a kind yet firm and consistent way. They made a special impact on both of us.
Kenny graduated today. We just came home from a four mile walk where he heeled beautifully. He never succumbed to the distractions of deer, squirrels, other dogs, children or joggers!
It is so nice to have Kenny “place” and “sit” when I cook or when the doorbell rings. Kenny’s jumping & counter surfing stopped with the “off” command. Kenny no longer stands at the window & barks at trucks, people & dogs. He comes when I call him & he waits when told. He also “goes” to another room when he needs to leave! It’s a whole new world!!
Kenny now acts like the beautiful majestic dog that he looks like! I am so grateful to everyone at Sit Means Sit. I’m looking forward to continued improvement with group lessons. Now that Kenny has good manners, maybe we can go places to share his joy with others!

Wow! We thought our dog was wasn’t meant for this. He was too far “gone” from being able to be trained. We were wrong. After 3 short weeks our boy has gained so much and grew into such a good listen and has really reduced his reactions towards other dogs and humans. He’s still has some work left to do but Jim and his team really did an amazing job. I can’t recommend this enough!!

Diva, my 10 month old Goldendoodle, is a ball of energy with her own opinions. The staff at Sit Means Sit understood her personality and has remarkedly focused her behavior and energy. I am excited to take her for walks and the dog park without having her constantly pulling.

Extremely compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional team of trainers! We worked with Doug, who helped our family learn to show our 18 month old dog, Odom, what we want him to do. Leash walking went from awful to lovely, Odom comes when called, we can stop Odom when his play with our cat becomes unwelcome, and we no longer are dealing with barking at the window whenever someone walks by. Everyone is happier and more confident. It was a great investment and experience for us! Now that we’ve finished foundation training, we look forward to group class and 1:1 lessons, as needed.

My dog was very reactive, VERY reactive around strangers and other dogs. Sit means sit worked with her and even after ONE DAY I noticed a BIG difference with my dog and her ability to calm down and walk beside me rather than on hind legs pulling hard every time we were outside. With each successive lesson she learned more and is on the pathway to becoming a normal, socialized dog. I couldn’t be happier with her treatment by the trainers and her progress! 10 out of 10!
